Some Like It Scandalous: The Gilded Age Girls Club

i started out really liking these two characters but the romance felt almost sterile. It felt like the author made a list of everything she thought defined a feminist and then attributed every one of those traits to Daisy or found a way to put it in the book. At the end it was just eye rollingly obvious and I felt like the characters suffered as a result - they became stereotypes and not individuals and it dictated the story as well. It was just too much - and as someone else noted, how many times can you say her nose was too big and her eyes too close together? I think I'm just disappointed because this could have been great. I read it in a matter of hours and never wanted to stop reading it. I just felt "whelmed" by it.

I loved this!! Maya Rodale does an excellent job bringing to life women who changed history by asking "Why not?" Daisy is my shero!!

Maya Rodale makes me want to stand up and cheer! Such a great and interesting story on so many levels!

Great dialogue tug n pull from hate to tolerance to like and respect and hurtling into lust and could it be even love. And as a by product of their families power plays to control projecting them into successful business and separation from their parents control

I loved this book. I am a huge fan of Maya Rodale but when I started this book, I was not sure I could ever like either of the two characters or see them together. Then I got sucked in. The character development was fantastic and the between the two main characters was amazing. I could not put this book down. Another great addition to this series. I cannot wait for the next book!

Not only a woman who isn’t quite what she’s supposed to be, but also a man who isn’t quite what he’s supposed to be. I loved them both!
