My exercise is walking and I live in Florida. I also have had a couple of melanoma scares, so total coverage is a must. These hats are the only ones I will wear. I have been looking for them for years as my old ones are fading, but have held up very well. I have washed them in the laundry (net bag helps) and air dried without any problem. The flaps are cool and will save your skin and give you peace of mind. Can’t recommend these hats more highly.

I need a lot of coverage when doing yardwork outside. This hat is sturdy, well made, provides many levels of coverage. Highly recommend.

Love this hat! It's lightweight and protects my face, head and neck against the sun. I can easily remove the mask portion if I need to, which is a big plus. I walk 2 hours daily and the sun can be hard on skin. This is the perfect solution!

I purchased this hat to wear while kayaking to keep the sun from reflecting onto my face. The doctor recommended I wear something while on the water to cover my nose and prevent more skin cancer. I have worn plain hats but they do nothing stop the sun from reflecting up under the brim. The hat itself is ok and the piece on the back is long enough to cover one third of my back. The face mask is completely unusable. It attaches under the brim in a place that goes right across my eyes. I have a small head and always have trouble finding hats small enough to fit. I I can not see with the mask on then who was this made for? I have since purchased a similar hat with a mask from another manufacturer on Amazon and it fits perfectly. If the mask is why you are looking at this hat...keep looking.
