The media could not be loaded.  Very disappointing item. The bottom half of the magnet keeps coming out of its slot so the pencil case doesn't actually close. The compass is a gimmick which does not point into any useful direction. The sharpener has a weird shape that means it changes the shape of your pencil and ends up breaking it (see "before and after" photos of my pencil). My little boy loved all the compartments and the pen holder (hence the 2 stars) but having received a replacement for the 1st pencil case, the 2nd one is just as bad so it is going back for a refund this time.

I bought two of these in the end as I thought that the compass was faulty but it turns out that it isn’t a real working compass. It has more room than most compartmental cases but that’s where the bonuses end. The magnetic mechanism which holds the lid shut failed after a few hours because the magnet is not securely attached - we had to use blu tak and glue to secure it in. The pencil sharpener lid failed after 2 days of use so it just swings open now emptying pencil shavings everywhere and the other compartment mechanisms are catching. Overall, not well made abs not worth the money as it is not robust enough to be a functioning child’s pencil case for long. We really didn’t overuse or abuse it!

I brought two of these for my kids (black/red & pink), and they both love it. It's amazing and has almost everything you need. I love the fact it has a built in sharpener so it cannot get lost and has a built in compass.
