I waited a few weeks before leaving this review. as I wanted to make sure it was a reliable product before adding my name to it. I have been using the SHARDOR Coffee & Spice Grinder to grind seeds (Linseed/Flax, Pumpkin and Sunflower) to add to my morning Porridge or lunchtime Greek Yogurt and fruit. Work perfectly, only takes a few seconds, I give it a tap, to knock down the powder and then a few more seconds. Easy to clean. You can pay a lot more for these things. But if you are in the market for a good seed grinder. This will suit most people. PS I bought this after buying a cheap hand grinder that was absolutely useless for the task. As I said before, this does the job in seconds.

Really quick and super-efficient compared to the antiquated braun with grinding attachment I've been using. To be fair that was ancient. This grinder is super-fast; literally taking about 10 seconds or so to pulverise flaxseeds, which need just-before-use grinding to release the oils in case you didn't know. I tried the veg/wet grinder i.e. the cup with four blades to grind up carrots, garlic, celery and onion and that works well too, although you do have to do that in a few batches given in its small capacity. However, it's so easy to remove and clean and very, very fast, which makes breaking out the larger food processor and unnecessary inconvenience. Oh, and it doesn't make much noise compared to the old, ancient Braun. I've removed a star because the plug is one of those small flat triangular ones with a neck-brace which I cannot plug in just above the splashback, i.e. where the socket is. Normal square-shaped three pins aren't a problem. At some point I'll remove it and replace the plug. You could also use an adaptor if you can't plug it elsewhere in the room where the sockets aren't close to the splashback.

Very easy to use, easy to clean, grind well for all the spices and the nuts, value for the money, looks nice and elegant, the containers is big enough so i am very happy with it. I didn't try it for wet ingredients but soon I will. Highly recommended

Reasons why this grinder is so well thought out; 1) I bought this grinder to stop our coffee grinder being moved around on the counter. One of us uses our left hand to pour the grounds into the machine and the other uses their the right hand so the grinder was always in the wrong place! This grinder lets you take the cup out to pour the grounds into the coffee machine - problem solved! 2) The removable cup means this is really easy to keep clean, just make sure that you dry it well before using or you will have more difficulty pouring the grounds as they will stick. 3) The flex can be wound around a tidy in the base so you don't have cable everywhere. There is also a channel for the flex to come through so the grinder always stands flat even when you have wound lots of flex around the tidy. 4) The second cup (four blades instead of two, for grinding 'wet' things like herbs) can also be used to store the coffee scoop cum brush. 5) The coffee scoop has a handy brush moulded in to the handle which is great for cleaning around so you get every last bit of coffee. 6) The markers on the inside of the cup are really helpful to make sure that coffee is always around the same strength. The grinder makes a rather uneasy noise when working but I may just have got so used to our previous grinder. The grinder is neat and compact so doesn't take up much space, 8" (20.3cm) tall and 4" (10.1cm) in diameter. I am pleased with this grinder. Good purchase. Arrived quickly and everything works well. It comes packaged in its own picture box but I was offered the option of an Amazon box so if this will be a gift it can arrive incognito!!

I bought this device to grind roasted spices for a recipe from Goa (India) called Chicken Xacuti. I had tried this before using my regular food processor (and also a hand-held blender) but I never got it quite right. It tasted fine but it was a bit "gritty". The toasted spices I used had not been ground to a powder. This device was advertised and promoted as a "coffee grinder" and I am sure it would do that job well too but my "use case" was to grind the following spices to a fine powder (after I had dry roasted them): ◦ 2 tbsp coriander seeds ◦ 1 tsp fennel seeds ◦ 6 x clove ◦ 12 x black peppercorn ◦ 2 x stick cinnamon (3 cm) ◦ 3 x green [or black] cardamom ◦ ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds ◦ 2 bay leaves ◦ 1 tsp mustard seeds ◦ 1 tsp cumin seeds ◦ 1 x star anise ◦ ¼ tsp caraway seeds The device did this perfectly. I used the "dry option" (two blades) to do this. I also used the "wet option" (four blades) to chop up "the flesh of 1 mature coconut (peeled and grated)" and that worked well too. The devcice is not a food processor (per se) because it has limited "capacity - i.e. volume". It's perfect for grinding coffee (I'm sure) and spices and even blending "low volume" meals like baby food - but you can't expect it to do everything! Delivery was 5/5 and the product gets 5/5 from me...

Poor quality item that did not last long. The coffee grinder worked well for a few uses. First one of the steel bowls packed up and the blades would not go around so no grinding took place. Today, 4 weeks after receiving it, the second steel bowl did the same. However after a few attempts, (this was because it was outside the returns window by a few days), I spoke with a very helpful assistant at Amazon who arranged for the coffee grinder to be returned with full refund.
