The tips of these brushes scared me when I received them. Long and very sharp when they were cut. I had to cut some more off the the top of the winding and then file off the end to make it blunt. Then I applied some hot glue to the tips to make sure it wouldn't scratch my barrels.

These are great brushes, exactly what I wanted and couldn't find locally to clean barrels. Everything around here was nylon bristles or stainless steel bristles. They are long though; probably suited more for rifles than pistols. However if you have a semi auto with removable barrel it won't be a problem, a revolver... maybe not so much. However, a quick snip with wire cutters can shorten it to any desired length.

I love Tipton products. I ordered these brushes in .338 caliber. The first set came and they were way too small. So I figured a simple mistake and ordered a second set (too cheap to try to return the first set).These also came through way too small. I peeled back the label (which says .338) and found the original label said .243 caliber.Someone went out of their way to mislabel the two packages I bought. See the pictures. Very disappointing.

Preferred bore brush (22cal) for my AR15 16in Bear Creek Arsenal Upper. Tipton has always produced quality jags and brushes. With a brass core wire and brass stem it does make for a more bore friendly brush, as advertised non-marring components. Most bore brushes have brass bristles but a steel core. Check yours at home with a magnet. This could possibly scratch your rifling or corrode with certain chemicals. These are ALL BRASS. 100% idiot proof, which is great. They can never scratch your gun.

I have older .22 brushes that I have used effectively for years. These Tipton brushes wear out and become unusable after a few cycles through the rifle bore. I used and wore out 3 after cleaning one rifle one time. At first, they are stiff and effective, then the brush slides through the bore with no resistance at all.

I've only really "used" one of the three so far but it seems to be holding up well, cleans very effectively, and didn't flex or scratch my BA barrel. All three were of solid construction, minimal flex, and slid smoothly through the barrel without binding or catching.For the price, these are great! Backups are really nice to have - especially if you clean after every range or hunting trip.

I was very impressed with the quality of these brass bore brushes. There are tons of bristles on these brushes. It was hard to believe they were so cheap and still shipped Prime. They are perfect for cleaning my Weatherby Vanguard .223. The threads were bigger than I thought they would be...but my cleaning rod has an adapter that makes it possible to use these brushes with the smaller diameter cleaning rods. I highly recommend this product!

Got these large caliber ones because they are tough to find anywhere else. They do what is expected of them and the quality seems good. I would buy these again.

I bought this to clean the treads of my 3D printer's heater block that had plastic leaked into it. It worked great!

it is a good part ,the brush is hard clean good to remove the powder and residu inside the bore
