Will this fit inside the middle?** A: The inner ring is 2.75 inches. The tabs above the ring have small pads at 5 inches. A work around is to put a small piece of a large dowel on the bottom of the leg or a caster and then will work. **Q: How deep is the well. I was thinking of using 4 to move my apartment sized washing machine by putting the washer's legs into the well** A: The well is about one inch deep. However, the tops also can support corners. For example I have used to move a cabinet without legs and works fine. Just catch the corners at the right angles. FYI if you have a harbour freight near you can see a similar item. Should work. **Q: How smoothly, easily & fast are the wheels able to move & spin around with only a little weight -less than 15lbs [on flat comercial grade carpet]?** A: I would assume that you would be ok, I did buy these for my TV console, that was holding several hundred pounds of weight of various TV and stereo equipment, plus the carpet was thick, I ended removing them and installed normal heavy duty pivoting wheel casters. The weight I had placed on them actually was causing them to buckle and bend under the weight, but over all, the wheels are small and the gauge of metal wasn't design for the weight that I had place on these dollies. They are very nicely constructed, and the wheels did spin smoothly. but not for couple hundred pounds of weight. **Q: Can this help me move patio furniture off my dock?** A: these things work very well for me, but if your dock has spaces between the deck boards you would probably want to buy some cheap 1/4" lauan plywood and cut it into strips that will smooth the journey over the bumpy dock and can be leapfrogged when needed to make the whole trip easier. Now with two I can easily move couches by myself by placing them under the feet on one end. Then I pick up the other end and move it wherever I want. Because the legs are sitting in a ‘well’ they stay put and are much less likely to slip off than if you were using a regular dolly. You can move other furniture with feet using the same method, but be aware that it works best on hard floors and surfaces. Thick, plush carpets will be problematic. They are small and lightweight and easy to carry around, too. Unfortunately because these do not have any type of brakes on them, they will not work for my purpose because they and the W/D that would be on them would roll around on their own whenever the W/D was going to be in use. HOWEVER, these ARE EXTREMELY HEAVY DUTY AND OF GREAT QUALITY and would have absolutely no problem whatsoever being able to hold the weight of a heavy appliance that’s primarily STATIONARY on them full-time. They would also obviously work great when moving any large item with them. But for any large item that has the potential to inadvertently move on it’s own while permanently on them for whatever reason…W/D, heavy foot traffic nearby, uneven flooring/slope…you won’t be able to keep that item on these permanently without brakes. Locking brakes on these would even also add an extra layer of security for the item stored on it itself, and as well as for anyone that might happen to ever be around the item that’s stored on it. First step was to make a wood platform out of stock oak board. Then attach the tri-dolly wheels. The entire dolly appears to be made of quality materials, and the wheels spin freely and in unison. With the food grinder on the platform it's no longer a chore to bring it out of storage.
