Just what you need and nothing more-- perfect!
This is a great hair dryer. I have thin hair, but a LOT of it, and with a natural wave/curl, it takes me forever to blow dry my hair usually. With previous blow dryers, I always have to dry in small sections and go over those sections 4, 5, 6 times even, just to get the hair dry (and on HOT and HIGH settings!) Even then, after all that, I normally had to run a flat iron through it just to reduce some of the puff-- despite my valiant round-brush efforts. For those reasons, I resigned myself to always having to spend a full hour to go from the shower to having my hair dry and finished, and that was that. I got this blow dryer after my last one bit the dust, and I couldn't be happier. First, I love the weight of the device itself-- not so heavy I have a one-sided arm work out every morning, but heavy enough to feel substantial and not-flimsy. Secondly, the settings are just what you need-- cool, warm, hot, off, low, high-- plus cold button. No more bells and whistles than you need-- which I find to usually be directly correlative to the quality of the machine. Secondly, I can actually dry my hair on LOW with only 1-2 passes on sections, which means I'm done in at least half the time, and minimal "poof"-- so need need for flat ironing afterwards!! My average time blowdrying has gone from 45 min to about 25-30 min tops. And without needing an additional pass or two with the flatiron, that's a whole extra half hour I can stay in bed in the morning. Thank you, Berta!

Nice hair dryer with a smooth feel to it, loads of options
Confession: This is for crafting/home purposes purposes, not to actually dry my hair. I don't understand these implements or their use as instruments of contortion, but they are nice for drying paint quicker... But I bought a similar one as a gift for a friend and she raves about it, so I like supporting the same brand again. This seems to be a nice unit, with a matte feel to the hair dryer (paint dryer, whatever) that makes it easy to hold with a pleasant feel. The handle has different settings for the air flow and the temperature, as well as temporary cool button if it's just all too much for you. The plug looks like it has a built-in GFI, with a test and reset button on the outside of the (non-grounded) plug. Seems that hair dryer technology just keeps advancing... The different settings allow a lot of options, which is very nice. I imagine a cool burst of air while you're roasting your scalp would always feel good.In a pinch, I could use this to warm my bed before crawling in on a winter night!

Reliable
I bought this dryer 7 years ago and it is still working well. I had never had an ionic dryer, and bought this because it seemed like the professional expensive ones. Because I have never had an expensive dryer, I don't know if I can compare, but it seems great, and is a lot better than the cheap ones. It is definitely worth the price and worth ordering.

The pros far outweigh the cons
I ordered this dryer because it had high-medium-low heat. I love using the medium heat to mostly dry my hair and then switch to the high to finish it off. The speeds are only high & low but the low is the same as the medium was on my previous dryer so it works perfectly. There are two negatives about the dryer: 1) it's a little heavy. However, it takes much less time to dry my hair than my previous dryer so the weight really doesn't matter; 2) the buttons are positioned so that it's difficult to hold the handle without pressing the buttons accidently. I've adjusted the way I hold it and, now that I've gotten used to it, it doesn't present a problem. I really like this dryer and am very glad I gave myself time to get used to it before writing a review.

Stand up company ! Two thumbs up...
UPDATE......After my review the company contacted me, they apologized for my bad experience and said they would have it looked into to right away to find out why and how it could have happened. They offered to send me out a replacement at no extra cost to me, I've since received it and I've been using it with no problems. It works great, does an amazing job as I described the first time no frizzy hair, and shiny. I'm very happy with this blow dryer, my first one was a fluke and I'm so satisfied with how stand up this company is. They went out of their way to contact me and resend me a replacement. I'm a very happy customer.I happy with this blow dryer, no frizz and shiny hair. Until..... My son walked in to ask me a question and I pulled the dryer away so I could hear him and at that moment a very big spark came out before I could even turn it off. It made me jump, and scared me. Not good considering I just received this product on Friday today is Sunday and it's only my second time using it. I usually wait to review items I've purchased to give a fair review but this one I had to post now. I will give it a two because it did work nice before the malfunction.

This emits a bright red light -- for sensitive eyes, too bright. Attachment impossible to pop on.
This hairdryer has a really nice feel to it when you hold it. Also, after I used it, I did not have to do anything else to my hair. It turned out awesome and perfectly styled after nothing but just 7 minutes of blowing, and half a minute of combing. Wow! That's a first. I wish I could keep this dryer! Why not keep it, you ask? Why are you going to return it?This dryer has a sci-fi, funky, interesting and unique bright red light installed inside the tube of the dryer. It switches on with the warmer settings. I love the concept. But the reason I have to return this dryer: one glance at the bright red, and I have spots in front of my eyes for quite a long time afterward. I tried adding the little attachment, thinking that would help. But it is too hard to figure out how to put it on. It looks like it should screw on but it won't. I don't want to force it on and break it. There is nothing in the little book to explain how to attach it.Disclaimer -- I think my eyes are more sensitive than most peoples' eyes. I'm always doing that with the new LED lights -- feeling like they are too bright.
