1" Heavy Duty Side Grip Cleco Fasteners Clamp

These are great for holding or mocking up sheet metal pieces. They hold very tight and work well in places where you have a flange and do not need to drill a hole.

Work very well - Strong grip. Be careful positioning metal and placing this clamp - a strong clamp can leave a nasty pinch mark. A great set of extra hands. Makes since but the only time these gave me a problem was my fault. If butt edge clamping, both sides need to be the exact same thickness. Or if you'll be doing that a lot, a strip of stiff leather overlapping the joint (or similar) There are times when multiple sets of cheap vice-grips are just in the way or too heavy. And these look way more professional.

Nice and strong

I was an aircraft structural mechanic in the U.S Navy for 20 years. We constantly used Cleco tools to hold our projects in place while building or repairing aircraft. These clamps are best quality and work identical to those I used during my service. Any discerning craftsman/ mechanic would like to have these in there tool collection. Super quality and great value for the dollars spent.

These little gems are fantastic for edge clamping sheet metal panel. They are stronger than I expected for their size. Cleco pliers are required to operate these so get those too if you don't have a set.

They appear to be well made. I can't give 5 stars because I haven't tried thim but again. It seemed to be well made.

I’ve used Cleco Pins before and they work great. If you need a temporary clamp these will do the job.

These work well for tacking up patch panels

I didn't know they existed until I saw a Kevin Caron youtube video where the guy does a show and tell about them! Wanted to try right away and bought them! The first project I had to use them on involved tig welding two flatbards that were thin and needed to be perfectly aligned. Heck! I was trying to make a contraption that was far too complicated for what I had to do, when all I had to do was clamp said flatbars on my table with these clamps! They held better that vice grips because they didn't put a dent in what I was making, nor scratches, yet put enough pressure on it to hold it in place and prevent it from moving, ALL THE WHILE not getting in the way like vice grips would have! And the neet thing about them is : don't even need a box to store them; just cut a piece of an old bansaw blade to size and clamp them all on that thin yet sturdy strip of steel and put them in the drawer without fear of scattering them.

Very strong grip, recommended

If you work in the autobody trade. This is a must have tool for panel replacement, etc. 100% would recommend

I do a lot of metal work on aircraft and when I’m sizing a new skin I use those clamps to hold it when I’m making the rivet holes
