A Gentle Approach to Wicca
I’ve read many of Scott Cunningham’s books, but “Living Wicca: A Further Guide for the Solitary Practitioner” really helped to solidify my understanding of this religion. I really like how the author takes the readers step-by-step—not just to introduce readers to the various subjects within Wicca (he did that in his prior book “Wicca”), but really explains them in simple terms. As always, I appreciate Cunningham’s ethics, as a practitioner and as a teacher of others; he’s honest and open. The way that he writes, the reader feels like (or, at least I did) that he’s talking directly to the person reading.Cunningham encourages people to continue studying and reading, but above all, experiencing the world fully. His approach to Wicca is truly a gentle one.

Scott’s books never disappoint.
The media could not be loaded. I used to read a lot of books by Scott Cunningham back in the 90s. As I needed a refresher on certain subjects, I came back to his books. This book is another staple. It’s very useful for a beginner as well as someone who’s been doing this for a while. Scott’s books are easy to read and provide essential information. Definitely a must have in a practitioner’s library.

It's kind of a sequel
to Cunningham's earlier work. He states as much in the book itself. This particular book is geared toward making Wicca a part of everyday life for the practitioner. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the lack of explanation of the significance of the pentacle. This is the central religious symbol of Wicca and is rich in mystic symbolism that Cunningham failed to address. Other than that, this is a great book for deepening a person's understanding of Wicca and forming a practice for the solitary practitioner, including building a solitary tradition.

Great author
Love anything by Scott Cunningham. Ignore the negative reviews. There's to much hate in the world to be arguing over whose way is right or what's authentic. Scott's books are great especially for the new solitary witch. He covers everything you need to get started on your path. And, he explains it in really easy to understand language. He is the first pagan author I read over twenty years ago. I still have most of his books and continue to use them to this day.

Fantastic book
I once read, so true, "No War Has Ever Been Waged In The Name of Wicca." I learned a lot by reading this book
