It should work, the only thing it will drain your battery faster and you'll have a bit less torque than you will with a 72v battery

The 2000w is the continuous wattage the motor can handle without burning up, the 3240 is the peak wattage, this is the wattage the motor will use when you start moving or are going up a steep hill.
