Excel 2016 In Depth

This book is at a perfect level for me. Had some basic understanding of Excel but wanted more in depth coverage. Liked the Macro & VBA Intro coverage in this book. Because I like Jelen’s style of communicating with the reader, I am looking forward to reading his VBA & MACROS book as I learn VBA. I am in an environment that still uses an older version of MS Office so these titles are very useful/helpful to me.

It has all an Excel user needs to work.It does not have an extensive use of VB and it is not a repository of functions, but rather a comprehensive guide to use Excel in a professional way.In that sense, the Depth of the title refers to gain a knowledge on how Excel works and how to use it in a proficient way.It helped me and I have been using Excel for more than 14 years. I would recommend this book to anyone willing to really get to use Excel as a pro.

Excellent resource. A few things I'd like aren't covered but otherwise really good.

Jelen's books are so good, I just buy every Excel book when it comes out on Kindle so I have it at my computer. Awesome resource.

This book is good overall, but could benefit from catering to beginners a little more. A few topics in here seemed more geared towards people who already know Excel rather than to people who are newer to it.

Very useful for learning . Real step by step guidance. Learnt a lot from this book. It is a keeper.

The "in depth" series has always specialized in complete coverage of all aspects of whatever piece of software it covers. Not this one. I should have believed what I read on the back cover, that the text does not cover seldom-used features. But those are just what I need help with. Perhaps the authors concentrated on what they thought were the main features of Excel because Microsoft kept updating Office 2016 in ways that moved and changed features. Or perhaps there was some other reason.What's in the book is accurate, well-explained, and useful. There's just not enough depth.

This is my third version amung other related from jelen. Always my first stop for excel related material.

Excellent seller and book

It is just a book, that tells all about Excel 2016, I have the Kindle version which I use on my IPad Which I find easy to use unlike the book which is heavy to hold and difficult to keep your page if you put the book down.

I am a reasonable standard user of Excel, this book is taking me to the next level and beyond.There are features I already use in Excel but not really understood previously and they are clearly explained. There are also features I have never used previously, with the examples supplied you can really start to understand why you would want to use these features.The example files are generally good, they could do with a (small) amount of work to get them aligned to the book chapters and figures they refer to. I was able to make good use of the online version when travelling not having to carry the book with saved me alot of extra weight.I now have the Word and Excel in depth books 2016, I look forward to the Project 2016 coming out.

Un buen libro, que te explica con ejemplos las diferentes características de excel. Además los tips son excelentes. Es un libro de nivel intermedio.
