The best way to use this item is to roughly cut the peeled garlic clove (fewer cloves at a time work best), then push down hard on the tool. I then scrape the bottom with the back of my knife, pile all pieces up, and press (mush) it again a few more times. Don't forget to scrape the juices off of your board as well. To retain as much juice as possible, I use a plate instead of a porous cutting board. If you don't want to extract the juices, I suggest you thinly slice your cloves. This keeps all juices in each slice before adding to your dishes.

The Garlic Press Rocker does less of a complete job mincing garlic cloves than I had hoped. However, it still minces enough that a bit of knife work follow-up to the rocker's work is a means of completing what the rocker does not.

I would have to a 300 pound fit wrestler to have the strength to make this do its job. Disappointed!

It takes two seconds to clean, and even shorter to bust through a few bulbs of garlic. I thought I wanted a levered handled press... nope. This is better. WAY better. If you're wondering if it's worth it, it is, just get it.

This garlic rocker minces multiple garlic cloves very efficiently, but it requires more strength than I have.
