These are pretty amazing for the price
These are pretty amazing for the price. My only reason for the downgrade is that the red lights stopped working after just a few minutes of testing. The lights are guaranteed and I assume would be replaced but it really is not worth returning the strip for that one issue; it does make them far less versatile color-wise since so many colors depend on a red component. I'll play around with teh strio a bit more and see if I can get the red to work.Other than the malfunctioning red, all seems fine, the strip appears solid and well made, the transformer and controller work fine and alsp appear well made. The packaging is retail-ready not the cheap Chinese bulk packaging I expected at this price..which was $16.99 for a 16' strip, transformer, controller and remote. I would buy again despite the issue with the red lights.

Buyer beware
Waterproof RBG LED light strip easy enough however there are several issues with the overall kit. I purchased 3 kits to under-light 3 cabinets at my parent's house.1. Even though the power supply is grounded, the power cord is not. Could be the cause of issues in #2.2. After one or two insertions, the power cord must be positioned exactly so in the power supply or the supply will fail. Almost like there are cold solder joints inside. However you can't open it up to see without destroying it.3. The light strip is rated at 12W per meter. 5m x 12w/m is 60 watts. The power supply is 5a at 12v thus 60w. Running a full strip at full brightness white requires 100% from the provided power supply, not the best situation.4. The glue on the back of the strip, though sticky, will not hold up the lights to a clean melamine surface.UPDATE:After 3 months, the controller burned internally. I replaced the power supply with a 6A version for less than 4m of strip. Max current is stated as 6A. After both bits failed, I cut them open. The power adapter is salvaged from another application. Wires from the previous are just cut, not desoldered. New wires for power in and out are just soldered on the bottom. The wires in the controller feeding the RGB connector are at the largest 24 gauge and possibly 28. I didn't have a caliper to check. Not made for long term service.

These are cheap crap
I have 2 sets each with a second strand attached. The first one went up with no trouble. But the plugs on the second one were loose and would come apart.A few months after hanging them only blue worked. I took the white control box apart and found a loose wire. I soldered it back on. When I plugged it in to test it started smoking. I'm removing all of these from my house before It burns down.

I really like these lights I use them for Christmas St
I really like these lights,I use them for Christmas,St. Patrick's Day, or use colors for a ball game. when my team wins I put up their colors. The only downside to these lights are that the sticky backing which does not really hold very well all the time.sometimes they do sometimes they don't , I've had some trouble with a couple of the transformer connectors overheating and melting the control box.

Works great!
Lights work perfectly and look great inside my DIY cloud lamp. The remote control is awesome and - didnt know this when I purchased - you can program 6 custom colors right from the remote by increasing/decreasing the RGB values. So really there are thousands of colors these lights can produce.Having a power brick required to use these lights is a little lame, but hey you can't really beat that price....Be careful to give these lights space. The waterproof coating doesn't allow for very good heat dissipation and they get VERY warm while clustered together.

Third Issue - The remote was useless, there was no response between the remote and ...
At first it worked as expected, I plugged it in to test it and the light strip was flashing through a color sequence. I used the remote control to change colors, speed, and to power the lights on and off. All seemed to be functioning as expected. The Install:First issue - The sticky tape on the back of the light strip didn't hold the light strip to the surface.Second Issue - The lights came on but they were stuck in the White color mode.Third Issue - The remote was useless, there was no response between the remote and the light control, no matter how close I got to the IR wire.Fourth Issue - The remote control interface box started getting warmer than expected. Not quite hot but warm for sure. That’s when I decided there was a risk of fire from these lights. In conclusionI think this is a case of you get what you pay for, I'll be returning the light and finding a higher quality manufacturer.

Waterproof covered the connection points
They worked as described, I have only used it for a day so i cant say how long it will last. The waterproof coating prevents you from using the junction clips/connectors and you can only use solder after carefully removing the silicon

Good price, dont cut corners on materials though...
Make sure you use quality solder, or you may run into issues like i did. I feel like the manufacturer should know that and mention it so you dont waste your time trying to figure out why certain colors randomly cut in and out. other than that i have no other gripes. Five stars for killer price and fast delivery. I wouldnt knock off half a star for them not telling you to use good solder (the type with Flux). Hopefully this review is helpful!
