It works, and has a long cable
I got this hub, with a long cable, to plug into the USB-C port in the back of my Windows desktop. I needed (1) a long cable and (2) at least one USB-C data connection. I looked at lots of hubs, and they're called USB-C hubs because they plug into a USB-C port. But for some unknown reason they provide zero USB-C data ports on the actual hub. This one has a USB-C data port, which I presently use for my iPhone. Also, apparently because I have a desktop, the USB-C data port also charges my iPhone. So there's no need for the external power supply if you have a desktop.I already had a USB-C to USB-C cable, but the connection with my iPhone wasn't consistent, so I ended up getting a fast 1 ft. cable from Cable Matters that works great. After I got the USB-C working, I then plugged in an SD card, and then plugged two devices into the USB-A ports. So 4 devices were connected at once, and all 4 devices worked fine. And I additionally tested all of the devices that I plug in occasionally on the USB-A ports, and they all worked. An excellent hub that freed up a USB port on the top front of my desktop, and gives me the additional connections that I need. Highly recommended!

Works great and is very handy
This works a charm and is necessary for today’s laptops that only have UBC slots. It’s held up for a few years now and I use it daily.

Good design, unreliable at first, but it's been proven over time
I bought this product on June 11th, and it quit working this morning (July 20th). The Amazon return window closed on July 11th, so I guess I'm stuck with it. I reached out to the vendor for assistance. If they offer anything, I'll be happy to revise this review. Before the hub quit, it was flaky. I bought it for the extra-long cord. Previously, I had been using the Anker USB-C hubs which are great. However, I keep my laptop on a stand, and the Anker hubs' cords aren't quite long enough to reach. The Lention USB-C hub with an extra-long cord seemed ideal. When I received the hub, it worked perfectly out of the box. However, over the last few weeks, the HDMI connection became very unstable. If I bumped the hub in any way, my monitor would lose connection. I just figured it was fragile, but I didn't worry about it further. Now, this morning (7/20/2023), the Lention hub quit working altogether. I tried unplugging everything and reconnecting it, rebooting my laptop, and checking each connection individually. Nothing helped. The Lention hub is dead. Thank goodness I kept a spare Anker hub! Even though the cord is too short, at least it works.UPDATE (8/7/2023): Lention's customer service folks reached out to me right after I posted this review. We went through some elementary troubleshooting which didn't resolve the issue. They offered to ship a new hub to me. I received the new hub a few days ago, and it seems to be working fine. With that said, the original hub worked for over a month before it quit, so I'm still reserving judgment. However, I've revised my initial review from one star up to three stars. If the new hub keeps working as it should, I'll revise the review again.UPDATE (7/12/2025): The new hub has been working reliably for nearly two years now. The initial experience wasn't good, but I'm quite pleased now. If you want a hub with an extra-long cord, the Lention hub is a solid option.

Good Desktop Helper!
So I needed an adapter to replace the individual readers and hub that I was using beforehand. Since I wanted to use this with a desktop, I needed the longest cable that I could find. Found this product and decided to use it.Since I use this mainly on a desktop, the display output or external power features were useless to me. However, the rest proved to be lifesavers for my work flow. Plugging in only this device would give me a USB 3.0 Card Reader, 2 USB 3.0 type A ports, 1 USB 3.1 Type-C, and an Audio out. This one device replaced the 3 other USB devices that I was using beforehand. So long as you have at least one Rear USB 3.1 Type-C Header on your motherboard, you should be fine.Tested it on both Linux and Windows. Both work out of the box. What surprised me the most was the audio output. My motherboard audio died, so this was a good stand in until I could get an DAC/AMP. Though, I really don't know if I should get one anyway. The AMP built-in is loud enough for my use case. Is it comparable to a good dedicated DAC/AMP? Not really, but I use linux, so I really don't have the best of luck when it comes to compatibility for audio amplifiers. If you have alright headphones and the audio died on your computer, this is a good replacement to have.Again, I cannot test extra power delivery or HDMI output as they are useless features for a desktop setup. Besides, I don't think its a good idea to feed additional power through the hub as it seems to work fine with my motherboard.Other than that, I would highly recommend for desktop use. The length is perfect for that. If you have a laptop, be sure that you would need the actual length of the cable. Otherwise you will have a long coil sitting on your desk.

Just two days using but terrific so far
I've gone through a dozen or more HDMI-ports for various USB-C and USB-A laptops. This is the first one that has power pass-through (USB-C, 60W), USB-A (3.0) for a wired keyboard and IR-mouse, AND HDMI port that works without a hitch (Mac OS, Chrome OS) while also allowing the hub to sit below and behind my laptop thanks to the long, thick connector cord. I tried connecting the hub via a USB-C-to-A adapter, but none of the ports work, as expected. But if you have a full-featured USB-C port on your machine, this hub makes using a laptop as a home work station much more feasible.I'll update my review if any of the ports stop working.
