I did the moulding, which was straightforward and set the mouthpiece to move my lower jaw forward as I have an overbite.Once moulded the fit is snug and I think the main point is to move your lower jaw and the placement of your tongue. The first night I tried this it worked. There was no snoring and none anytime I have used it since. I am delighted and I am so happy that this works that I need backups!!I was worried initially as the size seems bulky and it is a little, but once you have a good mould fit with your teeth its not an issue to sleep, getting used to it is better than the alternative.As it sits in your mouth all night, I give it a good clean every morning when I take it out. But I have a feeling, because of the use it gets that you probably should change to new ones often in a year. I’ve self moulded mouthguards for rugby before so this was an easy process, and well guided and instructed, especially on the video. Video is on their website, which is printed on the instructions inside. I didn’t know quite how this worked, but with the two parts, upper and lower, of the mold, have a kind of tongue and groove connector on their inner surface, with striations to keep them in place. That’s why it’s important not to over a mouse in hot water for too long otherwise and striations will become soft and not fix in place.After moulding with hot water and cold, you disconnect the upper and lower parts, put the lower part a little in front of the upper part, so your lower teeth jut out, and therefore keep the lower jaw in a forwards position and this keeps the airway open.it is fairly comfortable in my mouth, and average male.It is true that it does reduce in size compared to when taken out of the box. . The only thing was not clear is how long to immerse in the boiling water. I did it for approximately one minute and it worked well. The only thing I would say is that on the lower jaw, on the lateral extremities there is a bit that jumps out on either side, which I know it’s going to irritate the inside of my jaw.
