Extra height very much appreciated!
First time urban farmer here; this worked much better for the chick brooder than the small cheapo one that sat on the bedding and was constantly tipping, leaking, and getting buried under wood chips. Have placed it on a scrap piece of plywood to ensure it is consistently level, which with the legs aides in the fight against wood chip burial. Definitely plenty of hydration for my 5 girls.Would love the built-in legs for a feeder!

Good little waterer
This was a good buy. They are a bit bigger that the chick waterers they sell at my local feed store which is what I was after. I got 20 new chicks this spring and didn't feel like having to refresh their water ever 10 minutes. I got 2 of these and switch them out once a day and that seems to work well. I hang all my waterers and this one hung ok, only thing I added was a metal key ring on the handle to make sure it hung even. There is a notch in the handle but it is very small and shallow.

No leaks. Small and effective.
Used for the chickens. Works great with a small amount of birds. Product clearly states 1.5 liters.Picture a 2 liter of your favorite soft drink and remove an 8th. Product was smaller than I expected: and that is on me. On time, as advertised and no issues.

Keeping it clean
it’s a very nice product to have. Very durable. No matter if you have the legs all the way up, your chickens will still find a way to put things in their water.

Clever idea
Having this feeder on legs is a very clever idea, however, the leg broke immediately causing a big mess. I do not recommend it. I know they have them at the feed store that are probably probably better quality and easier to return.

Small size
Cute but very small.

Works great!
I use it for wild birds. It keeps the water cleaner longer. In the summer, I freeze small water bottles and put them in the reservoir upside down with the lids off. They melt slowly and keep the water cool.

Makes life easier
I got tired of chicks knocking over their conventional plastic drinkers and befouling the water with bedding and droppings. The babies probably drank only a tiny fraction of every bottle, and the majority was spilled and soiled. This also resulted in much soaked bedding, and often the outside of the waterer would become muddy and require washing. All in all a lot of my time was being wasted constantly refreshing water bottles and laying down new bedding. No more! A hanging waterer is the answer. I suspend it from a hook tied to a string tied to a dowel rod that rests atop their brooder walls. With a clamp, the dowel can be spun to raise or lower the drinker, which is nice as the chicks get taller. I've bought three of these hanging drinkers so far and everyone's quality of life is much higher as a result; dry brooders, clean water, and fewer refills needed.
