My bird is hypocalcemic and not doing very well** A: Mine didn’t say calcium but it does have eggs. I called the company to choose for my birds. **Q: How long until it expires and is no longer good?** A: It doesn't give an expiration date, only a "best before" date. We just bought a new container and it was supposed to be best before 2/11/21. We have three parakeets and use up a 5 lb. container in about 5 to 6 weeks. It's always been of very high quality. One thing to remember -- always keep the container completely closed so that the pellets are dry. Don't put it in the refrigerator because any condensation could cause the pellets to go bad. **Q: Would this size be the right size for Green Cheek Conures?** A: The LAFEBER'S make a size for Conures. I found that size too large for my parrotlet. This is sized for parakeets. I think you and your bird will be happier with the size for Conures. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great buy *by F***S on April 21, 2026* Love this feed, only suggestion i have it to make pellets smaller for parakeets. It comes in a resealable bag easy to use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will keep reordering!! *by D***L on October 15, 2025* Amazing!! My birds love it! i had 2 intially and they went crazyy for these pellets , yesterday i bought 2 more parakeets and they love it too. i transitioned my 2og birds from seed to pellets no difficulties but my new ones they ate pelltes off the bat!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🐦 Parakeet Approved 👍✨ *by M***N on April 30, 2026* My two parakeets enjoy both the regular and fruit-flavored pellets. 🍌🍍🥭 The 5 lb. option is generally my go-to bird food, as you get the most bang-for-your-buck getting 5 lbs. for $32 vs. 1 lb. pellet options that are usually $20. 💵 They've recently changed the round plastic bin to a regular bag, which I don't mind. It saves space that way anyway. I haven't had any issues with the bag ripping thus far, but I'll update my review if so. I usually switch between LAFEBER'S, Harrison's, or TOP's, depending on what's on sale. They eat them dry or wet. 😚 The one thing to keep in mind with these pellets is that it contains "cane molasses." Since it's toward the end of the list of ingredients, I presume it isn't much and is added for flavor enhancement and/or binding. ## Frequently Bought Together - LAFEBER'S Premium Daily Diet Pellets Pet Bird Food, Made with Non-GMO and Human-Grade Ingredients, for Parakeets (Budgies), 5 lb - LAFEBER'S Classic Nutri-Berries Pet Bird Food, Made with Non-GMO and Human-Grade Ingredients, for Parakeets (Budgies), 4 lb - Penn-Plax Bird-Life (BA655) Natural E Cuttlebones | Enriched with Omega 3 and Vitamin B1 | Great for All Birds | 2 Cuttlebone Treats per Package --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/20403457-premium-daily-diet-pellets-pet-bird-food-made-with-non](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/20403457-premium-daily-diet-pellets-pet-bird-food-made-with-non) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
