Excellent table saw
I bought this saw quite recently and have tried it out but not used it extensively yet. I have a small workshop without enough space for lots of fixed tools so good quality portable tools are often best for me. I’ve never been disappointed by a Bosch tool and this is no exception - it’s easy to set up and does an excellent job ! I did mark it down to 4 out of 5 for manoeuvrability but this May be unfair. I’m in my early sixties and the tool is both bulky and quite heavy but this is perhaps inevitable for a well made tool to do this job. That said I’m delighted with it and have no hesitation in recommending it. I expect to get many years of trouble-free service from it. Typical Bosch !

Very well made
A very well made machine the fence etc are simply quality throughout easy set up nice blade didn't need replacing straightaway like others do. Easy to adjust easy to get to the blade if it does need changing the blade guard is in two parts so you can get the fence very close to the blade and still be protected. Well worth spending more money to get great quality.

Good value but not a professional saw
Having read the reviews prior to purchase I had a fairly good idea as to what I was getting. Bosch call this a ‘Professional’ saw. In their dreams. That said it is a good saw for what they charge. The bed is pressed steel fabricated n a way that is is sturdy but not too heavy. For my diy use the weight is perfect, heavy enough not to move around for lighter work (it can be screwed down) while still capable of being moved around a 77 year old (me). Setting up from out f the box everything was spot on excepting the fence rule which was 1mm out and easily fixed. The soft start is noisy from about three seconds but quieter than anticipated from other reviews. The saw blade is good and cuts so easily leaving a reasonable finish but some tear out. Replaced with a 80 tooth Saxon blade which has made all the difference. The crosscut mitre/angle slide is flimsy as commented on by other reviews but does not matter because it is to easy to make a sled with this saw. For me what lets the product down is cheapness of manufacture. The hand-wheel that raises the blade is plastic and feels as though is is about to break during use. The nuts, bolts and fittings are either loose or bind when using. Particularly frustrating is the arbor nut holding the saw blade which has to be unscrewed completely using a spanner as the thread binds with a gritty feel, despite having been cleaned several times. There is no chamfer on the thread end making it difficult to start the thread. Definitely not professional German engineering. So, my recommendation is to go for it. There is just not anything else that compares in this price range. It does what I want (mainly cutting segments for bowls and other hobby woodworking) without over-the-top expenditure.

Excellent for the large DIY jobs.
I'm a DIY'er & I'm renovating my third house. I bought this table saw as I had to relay a new wooden floor downstairs, & fit a new kitchen. Perfect for the job, cuts cleanly and accurately. I bought this one to replace a worn out one. Really is up to Bosch standards.

Superb saw.
Great saw. Can use out of the box. It's accurate and very easy to operate. I've used mine constantly since purchasing, it's robust but light enough to move easily. I use it placed onto a workmate, it's stable and doesn't move.

DANGEROUS POORLY CONSTRUCTED TABLE SAW
The bolts use to put this table saw together are not fit for purpose, bolts used are the sort you would expect to find in a Chinese knock of toy. As this is a brand-new saw, I started to have accuracy problems as it kept on diffing out of 90° The big issue: I set my saw blade up and started cutting and bang the blade drop off and fell all over the place and came unattached from the positioning bracket. Bosch has used mickey mouse pan head machine screws that barely even threaded into the lower section of the saw mounting - they both just fell out. This is utterly disgraceful and is utterly dangerous. This is extremely disappointing as I have always bought Bosch Blue Professional tools for many years and this does not life up to the company reputation at all. Cutting costs on bolts in crucial areas were health & safety is not considered at all is totally criminal. Lucky I was not injured but it could have easily been a different story.

Does everything "I" need a table saw to do, as accurately enough for "ME"
Okay...finally got to play with my table saw a couple of days after it arrived. First let me say that I am a woodworking noob and definitely NOT a master so I was looking for a saw that would produce adequate/good accuracy DESPITE my skill level and not to compliment it. I watched many many YouTube reviews and agonized for weeks over whether to buy this, the cheapest option, or spend up to £200 more on the 10 inch XC. I finally rationalized that if it lasted me a year before I needed a better saw then I wouldn't be too upset. Setup was easy enough although the manual could be more helpy / friendly considering that this thing can maim or kill !!! Got it set up and checked the blade was secure and the blade / fence alignment - perfectly square out of the box. Checked the blade bevel angle gauge and so long as I read the pointer right on the edge of the marks of the gauge, it's spot on - again out of the box. I'd read a lot of complaints about the mitre gauge being a bit rattly in the slides and would have hoped Bosch would have sorted this - they haven't. However, the slides themselves are perfectly parallel to the blade so as long as you hold the mitre gauge firmly against one edge of the slide while cutting, it's workable - best advice is to buy a better mitre gauge if you really want a precision fit. I made some test cuts using the supplied blade and was very happy. It ripped and crosscut 18mm ply with no tear out. Likewise for soft pine. I cut a narrow groove (rabbit/rebate) in the pine to accept some thin plywood and was super happy with the result. I then took two strips of ply and 'rabbited/rebated' a very precise cross-halving joint - the only thing is the blade supplied has alternating direction teeth so the rebate surface is a little rough - that is just FYI, I'm really not that picky. It does sound horrible (really horrible) when the motor starts but when up to speed it's fine. It's gone back in the box for now to protect it until I get around to building a mobile cart for it with side and outfeed tables (as seen on YouTube of course). Okay, so this has been based on just an hour or so of playing with a new toy, but I'm really happy with my decision to buy this saw despite the fact that I now have fewer excuses for crappy results!
