Hello, If you decide to clean the mirror yourself, please take care doing this. We would recommend to hold the camera upside down and blow the interior with the KamKorda Air Blower. This should remove most of the dust that has been trapped inside the camera body.

Yes, this is a blower and not canned compressed air. I have a Fujifilm x-t3 and have been advised not to use compressed air as it is too powerful for the delicate mechanisms and sensor, so I only use this blower which works just fine

Q: Can this be used on a dslr sensor?

Yes, I use a mirrorless camera but the only difference if yours has a mirror is that you’ll need to lock the mirror up to expose the sensor. Give sharp puffs with it without putting the nozzle inside the camera body because any misjudgement might mean it hits the sensor. Remember too that it just blows particles off the sensor that can be dislodged, so they can still be in the camera body. If anything won’t blow off the sensor it may need a wet swab. You can reduce particles on the sensor by puffing any off the rear lens element and holding the body down when you put the lens on. To be really clean use a an illuminated sensor loupe to check for really fine particles
