Smoked Kieler Sprats CASE of 10 X 3.88 Oz

Small sardines, too expensive, but probably the best available.

Bought a sampling of tinned small marine animals for us at Christmas for our lunches. These have been the very tastiest - smoky, not too salty. The sardine flavor just sings with the smoke. The canola oil is light and serves as a neutral carrier. Twelve or so fish to a tin - all intact with firm enough texture to allow them to be lifted without breaking up but tender enough to be easily cut into pieces. Simply lovely on their own or garnished with a bit of red onion, capers, fresh jalapeño and/or some brown mustard. Not cheap but thoroughly enjoyable. Worth every penny. Will purchase again. Expiration on tin was in 2024.

Very tasty with crackers or Rye breads complemented with a splash of beer.

I bought these at a Swedish market store and loved the flavor, very stackable bite. So i was stoked for my package to come in. And disappointed when i instead received herring filets in paprika sauce. No options to contact seller or inititate a return/refund.
