Winsor & Newton Series 7 Kolinsky Sable Brush, Round SH #7

This was a birthday present to myself, when I saw the price I could t resist. Beautiful brush.

Brush is awesome! I've just started to draw and moved into watercolors. Brush allows you to make the delicate strokes while still being able to make broad stokes. Highly recommend this product.

It's a beautiful brush! This is my second brush from Series 7 and it's lasted me for for quite a long time now. Definitely worth the splurge.

I recently started watercolor painting again after a 20 year hiatus. I owned many series 7 brushes in different sizes but these were stolen from me in college. This was the first brush I bought to replace my collection and I'm incredibly disappointed. The quality of these brushes has gone downhill and my size 7 won't hold a tip no matter how saturated the bristles are. Maybe this seller is selling defects/rejects like other reviewers are suspecting but I've read elsewhere online that the quality of Winsor & Newton brushes has declined recently - unfortunately, their prices have not come down! I'll be returning this to try some Da Vinci Maestros like others have recommended.

Winsor Newton Series 7 brushes are usually of excellent quality.The size 5 and size 7 that I received were not.When wet, the hairs splayed out and would not hold a point. I was VERY disappointed with my purchase and had to return them.
