This book was ok, gave a few things that happened back in the thirties like price of gas. Kind of made you laugh!

Great item to add as a birthday gift

Surprised to see so many negative comments about this! The page clearly indicates that it is a small pamphlet/card for birthdays and other special occasions. Considering it’s not actually that much more expensive than other greeting cards, I think it is completely worth the price. You get several pages of news headlines from the year you select, and there are 3 pages to write on at the end. Personally I got this as a birthday card for my boyfriend, who is a huge history buff, and he thought it was fantastic. This is something he can actually keep unlike other birthday cards that end up in the trash anyway.

Bought this from Woolly Mammoth Sales - (Brian Vick), and am so pleased with the fast delivery. This booklet has very interesting ads, facts and trivia. I think my 90 yr old uncle is going to enjoy reading this. I think I'm going to order another one for my aunt. It's hard to find unique gifts for my family, especially because longevity is a big part of it. The item arrived exactly as described. I've seen these in card shops, but there's no guarantee that it will be in stock. Besides, ordering from Amazon saves time and gas. I think the small S&H charge is well worth it.I think these little books are perfect for the elderly, as it shows them what the world was like when they were born. Imagine all of the changes and historical events they have lived in their lives!

I bought this for my boss' 75th birthday. It has really interesting information & blank pages at the end to add your own notes or well-wishes. The quality is decent - not great, but adequate.

My granny loves this but I was surprised but was based on the USA not the UK.

Great wee book but a lot smaller than I was expecting , would have giving 5 but for the small size

The cover of this booklet is exactly as described and shown. However, the printing of the booklet’s pages was poorly done. I realize it is meant to reproduce an old newspaper but the printing was faint.

I bought 1919 to give to my Grandmother for her 100th birthday. Not too much too it. I think I could have easily googled the information contained within it.
