I have bought two for an elderly relative, and like so much I would consider buying for myself as well. The clock face is clear and easily readable, and gives the day of the week and the month in full, no abreviations. I chose this clock partly because of its attractive, non medical appearance. I have bought the wood effect, which looks to me like real wood, it is very well done; partly because of the clarity of the day of the week and the month, in full; and largely because it operates on batteries (2 AA). This means it can be placed anywhere, either discreetly, or on a dining room or bedroom table, or a kitchen surface, and can be moved around as desired. Having to plug into to a wall socket and having to fix to a wall would not have been nearly so convenient or attractive or useful. This clock has all the attributes I was looking for in an attractive and good sized product. The seller is also excellent. The clock will set itself on a radio signal correctly, but this can take a few hours. It really does adjust itself. If like me you want to see it working sooner, there is a manual option, which also works, but it seemed to activate the alarms, which wasn't required. The seller advised to take out the batteries, re-insert, and let it set itself, which solved the problem! In a few hours both clocks were working beautifully. I would thoroughly recommend both the clocks and the seller, who couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, and responded to a few of my queries within an hour or two each time. Once was just to check that if the alarm icon was not showing, this means that no alarm is set and no alarm will go off. The seller confirmed this to be correct.

Clear face with good detailed information. Easy to st up and very accurate. In dull light not easy to see. Pleased

All I did, as advised in the guide, was insert the batteries and wait. Within an hour the clock was displaying the correct day, date, time and temperature all visible from across the room. According to the guide it can take up to 24hr for it to set itself according to the UK time signal. Mine took under 1 hr. The controls are on the back for setting stuff like the time format (I like a 24hr format). You can set the time manually if you need to and two alarms if you need them (I didn't)

Looks good and works well. It seemed quite easy to set up and soon showed the correct time and date. However, just as we started to rely on it, we noticed the date and year were showing incorrectly. It seemed to have lost the radio signals it relies on. I moved it to a new location near a window, and it soon picked up the correct settings - and it has been ok ever since. It is a very useful device, especially for those with confusion over days, dates and years.

Purchased to help my husband after having a cardiac arrest and struggling with his memory. Whilst thus has resolved itself we've kept this clock where it was because it looks great and the face is very clear. A nice clock I would recommend

Works OK, and looks good. However, Daylight saving appears to be implemented according to US schedule, not UK.
