I like the towel and it seems to be well made, but it is heavily fragranced. They tout that the towel is free from chemicals and is OEKO certified, but fragrance is a chemical and it's one of the worst offenders! Just to give you a sense of the severity, I couldn't even touch the towel without my hands instantly smelling and I've washed the towel 4 times + soaked it in vinegar 3 times and somehow it still smells like some overpowering perfume/incense. The good news is that the towels held up through all the washings, with only a small amount of color bleed, likely due to the vinegar.At this rate, I don't think I'll be able to use the towel with it being so potent, so I've wasted my money.

I've been using Turkish towels in my master bathroom for years. I love how big yet quick-drying they are. After a recent remodel that changed the colors in our master bath, I purchased these towels by Smyrna. Though I liked my previous striped towels by another maker, I liked the diamond design of these towels better. To my delight I found theses Smyrna towels a tiny bit thicker - not enough to hamper their quick drying characteristics - just enough to feel a bit more luxurious.

I bought 3 of these towels. Two were gifts, one for myself. They are so pretty, and seem to be very well constructed. The herringbone detail is sophisticated, and the colors are vibrant. The towels are thin compared to a common bath towel, but absorb well. The only issue has been the shedding. When I dry my body with this towel, little pieces of shed material remain. The recipients of the the gifts report the same issue. We are going to try putting them in the dryer on no heat or delicate for a few minutes to see if this helps. Ordinarily I line dry it. Otherwise, I really like it. Peshtemals in general are so diverse and great for travel. They are compact, dry quickly, and can double as a travel wrap for the train.

This is a great towel to have at the beach or pool. It is not thirsty or plush, but it's not meant to. It's a flat weave, but it's still absorbent. The thing about this towel is that it looks fantastic, so much so you won't want to use it as a towel. I like draping it over the back of a chair or sofa. The fringe looks great. It's a great decorating piece. One more thing.....you can't beat the price.

I bought this towel specifically for a beach trip. It rolled up small to fit into my carry-on luggage. The towel looks beautiful up close and appears to be high quality fabric and construction. I washed it twice immediately and there was no loose threads or premature wearing.I used this to just lay down on the beach, didnt get a chance to test out how well it absorbs water.This towel is thinner than what I was expecting, but I needed a towel that would roll up small, so this worked out perfect.I actually have it hanging up on a wall right now as a faux tapestry in my temporary home office.The towel is textured slightly, but it's not a thick texture, which is what I was expecting. But again, since this is more of a lightweight towel, I guess that makes sense.Overall, this towel was what I needed and am enjoying it.

I bought these towels for presents. I ordered different colors: black ,pink, cream, turquoise, and royal blue. These towels are beautiful and soft. They do compress down pretty small to fit in a bag. They can be used on the beach, at the pool, at the gym, for yoga, at home, as a blanket, tablecloth, wrap, or scarf. Very versatile. Important to note they should be washed in cold water. I would like it if they were a bit wider, but for the price, these make an excellent gift or purchase for someone on the go and looking to travel in comfort.

I bought this to have a portable travel towel for a trip I was planning to take. Even though my trip is cancelled, I am really happy with the towel. It is pretty, soft and light weight. It folds up pretty small so it’s perfect for lots of different occasions. I know that I will get tons of use out of it when the world gets back to normal. I plan on bringing it camping, on trips, to picnics, etc.It is even pretty enough to double as a shawl.

Would have been a good towel if the pattern wasn’t irregular. Absorbency is very good for a Turkish towel. It is much thicker and better made than most.However, if I’m paying $19 for a towel, which is incredibly expensive, it had better be outstanding.Let’s be honest, half of the appeal here is the appearance. Their quality control is obviously lacking, though.I won’t be returning it, as it is functional, but buyer beware.

These are a real disappointment. They are as thin as a Kleenex and they do not absorb water. It's a real pity as they look wonderful. I have Turkish towels and they are definitely inferior and the price is high. I would not recommend these.

Its nice as a blanket but i actually wanted a bath towel. I doesn't dry that good, its ok for body but not for hair.

Bought for my daughter birthday gift. She loves it. Size, softness colour. Great for the sauna as well

I love the design but was disappointed in the lack of absorbency. It does not dry well. I read that Turkish towels become more absorbent after each wash but I wonder how long this takes. I have had other Turkish towels that were very absorbent from the get go.
