From the crowded streets of Delhi, to treacherously steep, narrow and congested roads blasted into the mountainside, seasoned drivers Rick Yemm, Lisa Kelly and Alex Debogorski embark on an exhilarating, exhausting and terrifying adventure, where the difference between life and death is just a few inches...or one very blind corner. The challenges and perils are never-ending on these ancient trade routes; someone dies on them every 4.5 minutes. If Rick, Lisa and Alex aren t careful, they might wind up as casualty statistics themselves. Tight, winding roads, perilous drops, rock ceilings, weakened mountains, potholes and total roadway failure combine with the ever-present danger of avalanches, communication breakdowns, wild weather and the harder-than-it-sounds task of driving on the other side of the road to challenge, fray the nerves and risk the lives of these courageous drivers. Will they be able to adapt and overcome these dire obstacles when so out of their own elements?Experience all 10 episodes of this pulse pounding series on 3 DVDs. ## Images ![Ice Road Truckers Deadliest Roads Season 1 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mchHuDMyL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Wow. *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2011* This really shows you what it's like to drive in India--there are no rules, other than you should generally drive on the left side of the road. The drivers (Lisa, Rick, Dave, Alex) are diverse enough that their way of handling the insanity makes it interesting...though the insanity itself is interesting. The "what-if" special effects are meant to add excitement and danger, but really, there was enough excitement and danger that it wasn't needed. One of the drivers doesn't make it past the first day, and only one driver makes it to the end. Along the way there are rockslides, avalanches, road closures, traffic jams, accidents, fights, breakdowns (mechanical and emotional), and always sketchy roads--usually with a massive drop off on one side. I thoroughly enjoyed the Deadliest Roads Season 1 and have a new appreciation for these drivers, as well as a better understanding of what it's like to drive in India. The one thing that is slightly annoying is that because it was taken straight from TV, minus the commercials, there is the recap that occurs after a commercial (for viewers who just tuned in while watching TV), yet because there was no commercial you get an unnecessary recap of what you just saw. Yet, I still give it 5 starts because for the price I can tolerate it. On the plus side, each segment of each episode is in a submenu, so you can go directly to a segment and you will know what happened beforehand due to the recap.Just to recap, Ice Road Truckers Deadliest Roads Season i is interesting, exciting, and well worth watching. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! *by C***A on Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2023* This is the IRT video to have. Fantastic. Wonderful. Got to have it. Love it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars IRT deadliest roads *by M***D on Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2012* This show in my opinion is better than it's previous versions of a the same name just different location! It shows how far some of the characters will go to prove how brave they want to be and just how dangerous it is in a very remote location far removed from civilization and the cost of human life to do the kind of work these people do. I'd be kidding myself if I thought that anybody could do this and not hate themselves later and just because you driven a truck in these locations doesn't mean your bullet proof in a matter of speaking! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/20334625-ice-road-truckers-deadliest-roads-season-1](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/20334625-ice-road-truckers-deadliest-roads-season-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
