Affordable option for the woman shooter
I purchased this for my Beretta A300 Outlander. As a woman shooter on a budget, I can't afford a custom-fitted over/under for shotgun sports. Happily my synthetic A300 is perfect for my length of pull, but the comb is too low. Using a plastic straw attached to the rib, I was able to make sure my eye lined up with the bead and chose the correct sized foam to put under the neoprene to get my head up. It's not much rise and I have a little cast right, but the Beartooth makes my Outlander fit.The Beartooth Comb Raising kit is an affordable solution to get my shotgun to fit me perfectly. It really isn't hard to put on if you follow the instructions, and I've changed the foam twice to get a perfect fit, so it's not difficult to adjust if needed. Have a little patience (and use some blue painter's tape to keep the foam on the stock) and the neoprene will slip on no problem.

A Perfect Simple Solution to Scope Picture
After reading the directions it was a piece of cake to install. (Note to self, go ahead and read the directions. It will make things much simpler.) After ironing out my short comings, I love this product. It contours smoothly to the stock and gives me plenty of leeway to adjust the comb. (A very important part of scope sighting as I have learned.). I previously tried the Whoopi doo tactical bullet holder cheek rests and the myriad of straps, Velcro attachments, etc are uncomfortable and useless to say the least.I put this on my Savage MkII FV (which has a miniscule stock if we are generous) and after a few adjustments with the many inserts and I get a perfect sight picture every time.I highly recommend this product to folks on a budget, just trying to get it together, or who are trying to untangle themselves form the hairy Velcro monsters. You can always opt for that $200 Boyd stock later.

Worked on an Axis
Ordered this to use on an Axis .223 with a plastic stock. I gave away the included scope and bought a 50mm scope that needed higher rings. I read of the people fighting to get this on over the butt of the stock. Being basically lazy, I removed the two screws, pulled the stock off, and installed it from the front. Easy peasy. Takes a bit of playing to get it settled in the right place, but has stayed in place for two outings. I used the two biggest pads, with a overlap on the top, to get the right fit for me. I'll get one for my '37 Win .22 also.

Make good out of an imperfect stock!
Fit very snug on the synthetic stock of my Tikka T3 lite, and was a bit tough to "roll" on, but once it's fit, it's very nice that it's so snug. Helps bring my eyes to the height of my 50mm scope with high mounts, and perhaps only psychologically, reduced the felt recoil of my .30-06.Pros: perfect fit, several foam pads to ensure perfect height.Cons: initially it's tough to get the smaller opening over the butt plate, and felt like it was going to tear (it didn't). Very tight on the stock, so it wont slide, but that also makes it really tough to get situated just perfectly. Guess that's a pro and con.Very clean, and improved the feel of my rifle.

Great addition to any standard buttstock
I purchased this product for an inexpensive cheek riser for my girlfriend's Browning AB3 7mm Rem Mag. Installation isn't very easy no matter how well you follow the instructions or even watch any videos for this product, but I can overlook this issue since it works great and is comfortable. I like the different thicknesses of the foam pieces you can use to get a proper cheek rest. Things that should be changed to make this product more user friendly are to either add an elastic pocket to the top for inserting the foam pieces or to make a flap that folds over and Velcro to the opposite side (granted this would require being right or left handed to put the Velcro on the opposite side of the shooter).

Works really well to adjust comb height of stock
I bought this to adjust the stock height of my Omega muzzleloader after installing a scope. Installs fairly easy if you follow the directions. It is snug but that is what keeps it in place. I picked the foam insert that I thought would work (it comes with several foam inserts to adjust height to your needs) and got it right the first time. The neoprene sleeve and insert stay in place in the field and hug the stock like it is part of it. I've hunted with it for two days now during the Minnesota muzzleloader season and shot a deer on the second day. The gun shoulders and aligns my eye with the scope perfectly now. There is a sewn in slot for the sling stud built in. Overall quality is excellent.

Cheaper than a new adjustable stock
This product performs exactly as it is intended. It comes with plenty of foam pieces for a large amount of adjustability. As others have mentioned, if you have the ability to put this on from the barrel end before you put a scope on, by all means go that route. By design this thing is extremely tight and take some work to get it around and over the stock. I actually tore the neoprene in a small spot getting mine on but it’s is still serviceable. It will take some testing and working it around to get it in the right spot, but once you get it right you should be able to see through your scope without any neck cranking effort.

Best product I have found to raise the comb without cutting the stock!
This product was exactly what I needed. My field model Browning Cynergy (classic) was shooting too low - and I needed something that would raise the comb in order to give me the correct point of impact. This did exactly that, I was able to adjust the drop at comb to be 1/4" higher, which placed the shot right where I was looking.I would also say that since this made my shotgun fit me better, it also made it more comfortable to shoot. I am very thankful for such an affordable product. There were a few loose threads on the bottom - but a little trimming cleared those up and it looks great! I will be purchasing more for the high school skeet team that I coach - so that I can quickly, easily and inexpensively fit the stock to the shooter.

Decent alternative to a permenant fitting
I bought this for my Steyr SSG69 which I use for long range competition. It has quits a large and extendable stock. The sleeve is well made and tough and was a wrestle to get it fully in place, at first.I had to remove the scope and pull it on from the barrel. It is comfortable to rest your face on as there are no straps, and the inserts give you a wide range of height selection.I think this is a great alternative to expensive stock alterations and will get another for my BRNO .22

Good when new
Good when new. But now infuriating it keeps slipping down the wood. Have to keep pulling it back up the comb
