Cowboy Dan Hardcover – January 1, 1950

My eldest son (46 yrs) suffered an aneurism then stroke. That was his favorite story. To this day he care recite the entire story. I order it for him. When he received it he called me and asked me if I sent him a gift. It was a the most wonderful day I've had in a long time.

I love this. It is the one I had as a child. Even though I know it by heart, it is so nice to have the book.

I must not have read demintions because I thought it would be larger. Still a cute book of vintage prints.

I was disappointed to find the book is only 5" by 6". I carefully reviewed the posted statement and believed I ordered a bigger book, and instead got a "junior elf" version, which means very little, and the front cover has a prominent ad on it for Scholastic books, which makes it even less appealing.

This is the best book for any lil' cowboy. My boys love it and want it read over and over. Love it!

Was excited to find another copy of this for my nephew as he fell in live with the coy that my mom had for his daddy

My mother bought this book for one of my older brothers back in the 60's. All of my siblings and myself can recite the whole book by heart. It has been read countless times to my nieces and nephews and now to my own sons. It lives at Grandma's house on the highest shelf to protect it. In day to day living if cowboys come up, it always pops into my mind, "I'm a rootin' tootin' cowboy and my name is Cowboy Dan. I can ride a horse and rope a steer as fast as any man."

No longer in print but my favorite childhood book. I bought this used for my grandson. He is worth giving favorites to.
