Good book
I got this book for a probability theory course in college, I like it. There are many plenty of exercises at the end of each chapter for practice with solutions at the back of the book. It explains the topics well and is easy to understand, and has good examples throughout the reading.

The explanations of the conceps is very clear
It's a very good book. Well explained and it has a lot of examples. Some foundations in calculus are necessary to understand some concepts.

Has "rental" sticker, some tabs and a couple of post-its with writing but good overall
Was sold as "used - acceptable" and that's what we received. We were a little thrown by the "rental" sticker as my son questioned if we purchased or rented the book. I assume it was a previous rental that they sold as used. Perfectly fine with me, just a moment of hesitation. Removed the stuck on tabs and the post-its and it's ready to go for classes.

This is a terrible textbook with constant useless updates
This is the 10th edition of a still terrible textbook on probability. The 10th update (like all of its previous updates) makes extremely minor changes and mostly just gives minor adjustments to around 1/10th of the problems. For a textbook that should have the goal of effectively relaying key ideas on well established topics this textbook fails spectacularly. You are better off teaching probability from your own class slides. Save your students the money they will waste on this text.

Not well explained
This book omits plenty of details on each concept. Very hard to understand.
