Surprisingly good , effective and doesnโt appear fake colored
Iโm not one who normally dyes their hair but at 51 y/o and being 100% GRAY haired, I decided to give it a try after my kids told me my hair was looking โblueโ. That made me feel VERY old. So I looked at options, I didnโt want ONVIOUS dyed hair color and since Iโm a natural blonde, I went with this. It was easy to use, I did it while getting ready for work one morning, you just comb it in with the applicator. I also did my eyebrows, mustache and beard. Color turned out great! Iโm a lot less gray but not noticeably so. It blended wonderfully and I look a solid 10th are younger.

After more than 10 years, this is still the hair color I come back to
Iโve used Just For Men products on and off for more than 10 years, including Touch of Gray and the shampoo-in options. This Easy Comb-In version is easily my favorite. WHY I KEEP COMING BACK TO IT I have short brown hair that is now very gray on the sides, so the gray becomes noticeable pretty quickly as my hair grows. This is easy to apply, much less messy than the shampoo-in color Iโve tried, and I can usually get two applications from one package because my hair is short. More importantly, the result looks natural. Iโve actually had soccer friends comment several times over the years about how good my hair coloring looks. Thatโs particularly funny to me because I donโt maintain it religiously and sometimes let myself go pretty gray between applications. When I color it again, though, it blends well enough that it doesnโt scream โI dyed my hair.โ DONโT GO TOO DARK I learned this one the hard way. Iโve tried dark brown and even black, and my wife absolutely hated the result. Going suddenly from gray to very dark hair looked obvious and unnatural on me. Medium Brown works much better with my natural coloring and gives me the result Iโm after. Touch of Gray also works, and I like its comb applicator, but it simply doesnโt cover enough gray for me anymore. My only difficulty with this version is getting the temples and very front completely even. And definitely use the included gloves. Iโve skipped them before and regretted it. After more than a decade of trying different approaches, this remains the one I buy. It is simple, relatively clean and, most importantly, gives me a natural-looking result.

Keep your expectations reasonable....and read my review about how to REUSE product and save money.
First thing I have to say about this product is PAY ATTENTION when people say go for a lighter color than you think your hair is. I went medium brown at first and had multiple staring at me asking what changed. So I went with light brown and it was not obvious I had dyed my hair anymore. Secondly...this product does not erase all grey hair. It gets rid of most of it...but I found particularly at the roots near the sideburns I just can't get it to completely block out the grey no matter how much I smear in. I leave it in longer than the 15 recommended minutes too. Usually 30 mins to an hour. That being said it does make a significant difference and people not longer can call me out for going grey. YOU CAN REUSE THIS PRODUCT. The manufacturer is lying to get you to buy more when they say one time use. After applying to your grey areas squeeze the tube so that the product comes to the lip of the tube and then recap tightly. I keep mine in the fridge but I don't know if this is necessary. I've also just recapped and kept in a drawer and it seemed to work fine. After recapping take the applicator tip and blow all the excess product out in to the sink (or in your hand). At first I was getting rid of it then I realized it was a waste so I put on one of the two included applicator gloves and used the excess that comes out to smear around other areas of my head. Then flush water through the applicator tip several times and blow it out. This prevents it from being clogged so you can reuse it. The product works on oxidation so it is key to make sure the bottle is squeezed to the top when you recap and that you get as much product out of the applicator tip when you are done. If you do this you can re-use this product 3-4 times depending on how much you use each time. I find the color starts fading around 2-3 weeks and usually at that point do another application. As I mentioned earlier it won't get rid of ALL the grey hair but it certainly hides big white patches that I have on the sides of my head. So...to recap...go with a step lighter than you think you need. Follow my instructions for re-use and you can save yourself blowing 8 bucks every 2-3 weeks just to keep your hair darker. All that said it's a good product. It doesn't stain the skin badly....after I apply I use a DRY tissue paper to wipe back/away all the excess that gets on my forehead and ears. I also don't use shampoo for my first shower afterwards....I just rinse really well with water to allow it to sink in longer. I would recommend this as well for a better initial coloring. And make sure to get a color safe shampoo. It's hard to find one made specifically for men but I was able to find one at Walmart that appeared at least somewhat gender neutral and affordable.

Multiple use applications. Saves you time, energy and money
This stuff is great on the single round and I believe it in from six minutes longer than suggested, and it was perfect. The applicator is easy to use. You donโt make a mess everywhere you put it in your hair, set the timer and then shower.

Flawed Applicator Design but Decent Product
This stuff does work, but it takes a lot of WORK to make it work properly. First off, don't rely on the brush that is included in the box. It's a garbage applicator and because the bristles on it are thick plastic, they don't bend to paint the product onto your hair. Instead, it just pulls the product away from the roots where you're hoping to color or completely off your stubborn beard bristles, ultimately insuring you'll have to use more. Instead, drop a few bucks on a cheap tinting brush, and use that instead. Start by simply squeezing a dollop of dye onto a safe surface (I used a flat plastic sandwich bag) dip your tinting brush into the dye, and go from there. There were various degrees of "end result" shading in the customer/product pictures that are included on this thread, and that is due to the faulty and useless design of the brush as well. When you squeeze the product into the brush prior to application, the contents within the tube don't really mix until you run it through your hair. This causes extreme color discrepancies with the ratio of dark and light components of the dye not being blended together properly. To offset this, once you have your dye dollop out of the tube, give it a good mixing. You can use the pointed end of your tinting brush. You will see almost instantly a shift in color. I don't know how exactly to create a true perfect color balance, it's a bit of an experiment, but it can be done. You just have to play around with it, sometimes adding a little more product to your dollop. This product has a shelf life of about ten minutes, so make sure that as soon as the product is out of the tube and mixing with the oxygen in the air, you're mixing quickly. When painting it on, try to use the tinting brush to apply as evenly as possible, using a light hand. You can aways go back and repeat this process to darken hair more, but you can't work it in reverse. I would highly suggest doing a test run on a small strand of root hair to estimate the leave in time. For super light blonde hair undergrowth like mine, a full projected run as suggested on the box will probably be too long, leaving you on the darker side. Work that smaller strand first to clock the time that best works for your hair color, and then repeat for the entire desired area once that calculation has been set. Start with 3-4 minutes and add time accordingly. If the first 4 minute run was to light and you ran it again for an additional 3 minutes and it looks good, factor in total time when you start everything. So you'd be looking at a total of 6-7 minutes. A little goes a long way, so avoid clumping and caking product on your hair. Lather, rinse, and repeat as needed. Like I said, this product does work, but I think that it would be a rare occasion to achieve the exact results that you are looking for straight out of the box, and following the product instructions to a t. Hope this helps! Three stars because of shoddy product design and generic instructions.

Works as intended
I love this color. Born a redhead it actually shows red highlights in the blonde. Been using for a few years now Last me six weeks before I use again. I could go longer but I keep it looking natural.

Great for coloring your FACE but not hair.
THREE TIMES I've tried using this, and the third time was a "charm" to never buy it again. 1. The "comb in" idea is great but the "comb" is so small that it useful only for sideburns. The entire tube is so squishy that you can't really put any pressure to actually USE IT like a comb. I ended up just squirting it directly into my hair rather than combing it in. 2. This product is DECEIVING. It appears like the color has adhered, especially on my REALLY GRAY sideburns. I started there, then applied the rest. I waited the FULL time, then rinsed. HOURS later my sideburns were getting gray and by the next time I showered, they were back to full gray. And I didn't even use shampoo! I just used cream rinse which I do after application. 3. Like other reviews have stated, the comb-in is great if you want to dye your FACE. I was careful to dab off residual but, at the end, I had brown blobs on my face that looked like AGE SPOTS. Yeah... I really wanted to look older. CONCLUSION: I don't know why they continue to market this stuff? I DO KNOW that the Just For Men company will likely never read these reviews and do anything about it, like maybe making it better or making it actually work!

Too dark for me. I wonโt be using it.
Arrived on time and in good condition. Though after reviewing the box I think it will be too dark brown for me to use.
