Steel Rustic Corrugated Metal Wainscoting (Rusted) - Corrugated Metal Sheets, Metal Wall Panels - Dakota Tin

I looked over quite a few similar products and read all of the reviews. Some complained the sheets were rolled into a tight roll. Some reported the corrugations were not square to the edges. Some reported issues with poor packaging resulting in dented corners and so forth. I initially ordered three rusted panels from Dakota Tin and was happy to see it was shipped flat and was well packaged. No issues whatsoever. I put a framing square on the sheets to see that everything was perfectly square. I liked the color of the rusty patina, and it fit my project's needs. I looked on Amazon for rusted J-track, but unfortunately I couldn't find it. I ended up placing an order directly through Dakota Tin. Both orders were shipped promptly and arrived by UPS. Oh yes, some people complained that some of the companies advertised 26x36, but the sheets were only 35.5" x 26. I just measured, and these panels are 26.375 x a full 36". With a 1.5" overlap, you end up with 24x36 yield. I bought a 7" metal cutting blade for my circular saw to make the main cuts on the panels and aviation shears for cutting the J-track. I wouldn't hesitate to order more of their products.

Used this for a 72" x 89" wall behind our wood burning stove. We modified the color a little by wiping off some of the rust. Easy to do and gave us the look we were looking for. The install using the J-Track was easy and gives a clean look. We had to cut to size on a few sheets and having an angle grinder/cutter helped that a lot. Would have been much more difficult with tin snips. Overall...perfect product for our needs.

Only negative is the corners came bent but I was able to bend them back. Other than that they are as described. Love the antique look and will make nice roof for my outdoor cat house project.

This is a great quality tin and is cut perfectly. It arrived early and was exactly as the description read.

First and foremost, it’s a rust coating, so expect rust dust. I already expected that , but just in case you were wondering. In the pictures, the lighter, more reddish color is how they came. I was hoping for a bit darker but I already had a plan. We bought some Old Masters interior Oil based poly-urethane and sprayed a coating over the panels. Since this is going around the bottom kitchen cabinets like wainscoting , I wanted to ensure the dust wouldn’t transfer to clothes or carpet. I took a dry paint brush, gave them all a quick dusting (not too much, the rust coating starts to flake off) then we sprayed one coat at the time of this review. I really like the darker tone the Poly is giving it and it’s exactly what I wanted.

I loved how easy the panels were to install. Also the finished look was the perfect blend of industrial and rustic. Put them around kitchen island inside and around porch bar outside.

I thought this would be a rust looking finish, instead it is just plain rust. You touch it and rust dust comes off on your hands and clothes. The metal is fine just know what the finish is.
