This battery backup works great. I have my internet modem and WiFi router connected to it. I have another for my computer. It gives me peace of mind in a power outage, which seems to happen often where I live. I love that I can turn off the alarm. If the power goes off in the middle of the night (two nights ago) it doesn’t wake everyone in the house. I plugged it in when it arrived and left it for 24 hours before plugging anything into it.

We do not use this on computer equipment but instead our TV, receiver and DVD player. We live in an older neighborhood. With that being said, we are subject to power "flickers" and short outages. Every time our power would flicker, we would lose the TV signal as well as our internet router would have to "reboot". Now, I have TWO of these...one on the TV equipment, the other on the internet router and modem. Besides giving us surge protection, now when the power flickers or goes off, we do NOT lose TV nor internet!1
