My husband wanted ditali not ditalini! Only found it on Amazon. Fresh , great taste, good expiration date since I had to buy 20 lbs. Won’t go to waste!!!

They are cute little pasta
Great little pasta for kids and for macaroni salads. I made two packs (and followed the directions to al dente) for a pasta and butternut curry dish. It turned out very well and was well liked. I’m glad I got the whole box, now I can make baked pasta and pasta è fagioli or another pasta dish and still have enough pasta for Sunday supper.

The quality price ratio for Colavita Pasta is very good. This pasta cooks up as expected
The quality price ratio for Colavita Pasta is very good. This pasta cooks up as expected, and maintains its firmness if you watch the timing. It is consistent from purchase to purchase also. Where I live, it is difficult to find Ditali for some reason, so Amazon came through for me once again.

Always al dente!
Excellent pasta. It remains al dente, which is an indication of the good quality durum wheat used to make this pasta.

Broken to bits
I have not been able to find ditali in a store for quite some time and was glad to be able to purchase online--until I opened the box. Every bag of pasta was full of ditali with stress fractures throughout, though few were actually in pieces. Not wanting to be wasteful, I tried cooking a bag in the hopes that it would cook up ok. As you can see in the picture. all the pasta broke, often into little bits. I did not go through the trouble of ordering this particular shape of pasta online and in bulk to get little bits. Having used one bag already I don't expect I have any recourse. I do have 19 more bags of the stuff to store and figure out what to do with. Two stars because the pasta itself seems be fine, if only it has gotten to me intact.
