This series of HoSafe cameras are great. They take a little setting up, but once you figure all the settings out, they work great. I have used this model as well as an older model (1MW6?) with both the YooSee application as well as the 2CU application. YooSee is far better as the picture is larger and it seems that the microphone control works easier. We leave it on when we are away from the house as a very inexpensive security system. We get push notifications on the phone when an alarm goes off, as well as emails that actually contain a picture taken at the time of the alarm! The camera can be set as either a silent alarm in the location to discreetly let you know something is going on without alerting the person causing the alarm...or it can be set to sound a very loud alarm. And you can change your mind and turn it on if you want to scare an intruder off...after you have gotten a picture of them!You can set the camera to record 1, 3, or 5 minutes after the alarm. This is recorded on an SD card (that you can purchase separately).We also use it to watch our dogs while we leave them in the house, and it is nice to use the 2-way microphone to either soothe them with our voices...or yell at them if they are misbehaving.Since the camera is movable about 300 degrees, we use the one in the kitchen window to watch the back yard and a shop building during the day, and we can remotely turn it to focus on the back door later. Its night vision is great, but when aimed through a window at night, the lights are reflected and it is not a good use. I am going to purchase a different model for the exterior.A great way to watch a vacation home. Buy 1-3 cameras for around $150, and leave your internet wifi on ($29.95 in our case) and you are set to go! Be sure to get the local phone number for the police where your vacation home is located, because when the camera alerts your phone and you "see" an intruder, calling 911 from 1,000 miles away won't help you get a quick response.

I was very excited to get this camera, but unfortunately when i got it after trying for hours and hours, it would not connect to wifi--it worked if manually plugged in with a ethernet cord, but that defeated the purpose of it being a wifi camera. I tried contacting the seller thinking maybe there was a defect with the wifi setting, i was offered a refund, and have since returned the unit.

I recently had an issue with security and wanted to find an affordable solution for some peace of mind that wouldn't break the bank. This little camera covers the entire space of the room and the speaker is excellent. Set up was a breeze on Android. The motion sensor requires a battery. The app is extremely simple and doesn't suck up battery life. The settings allow you to adjust motion sensor options, volume, recording settings and alerts.Great purchase.

Its ok if I can get the proper app for the camera... The product says that you need a smart phone or a android phone which I have. I went to down load the "yoosee" app and it tells me that my device is not compatible with the app, so I try another yoosee app and its in another language I cant understand, smh. Now im stuck with a device I have to send back...

Great security camera for the price. Setup was easy and took no time. The door sensors where easy to install and set up as well. The camera has motion detection so I was able to put it in one room and the door alarms on two other doors so I have 3 places monitored. If you have home internet you need to get rid of high cost home security monthly payments and get this device.

Claims works with blue iris as per the answered questions, but blueiris doesn't get any video from this camera even after multiple tries and no instructions what soever

Cannot get this activated - haven't been able to use it. The setup is technologically difficult - had to go online to find additional instructions.

I use this in my nursery to check on baby. Works really well for what I need. The smartphone app is a little confusing.
