it also did a fine job with wood
I'm adding to the 5-star reviews. (Hitachi, please don't take this as a queue to raise the price.) I used the blade on my 10" miter saw to reside with fiber cement lap siding the wood frame addition to our brick house. I'm now done with the job, and the blade cut the last plank as well as it cut the first one. I can't tell that it's been used. And, as a side note, I did occasionally have to cut a piece of wood during the job & did not switch blades. Even though it only has 6 teeth, and is configured to cut fiber cement, it also did a fine job with wood. I'm sure there are other good fiber cement blades, but the price is what helps to make this one special. Kudos, Hitachi.

This blade is amazing
We cut miles and miles of Hardi material using this blade. I'm on my third blade now, but have been totally impressed by how long each blade lasts. We find it's best, or most efficient,to cut 4 or 5 thicknesses each pass. We tried 6, but it felt too hard on the saw. This was using a compound miter saw. We were cutting individual shingles from a big stack of hardisoffit material that was 12 ft long, 4 ft wide, and stacked 4 ft tall. Thousands and thousands of shingles, each shingle 10 7/8" long, so as to get 13 shingles from each 12-ft board length, and varying in width from 4" to 10". Anyway, the Hardiblade is a fantastic blade and I can't imagine doing it any other way. The cut edges of each shingle only needed a light pass with sandpaper to get the shingle ready for primer and paint.

Work as advertised
I can't say how much it REDUCES dust, because I never tried to cut with an inappropriate blade for comparison. I CAN say it produces mostly large, sand like dust, heavy enough even to become trapped in a cyclonic dust collector improvised from a trash can and a mulch-vac. It does produce some super fine dust, so wear a resperator, but very little, and this is easily disposed of with wind or a fan and the vacume. I am making my cuts in a very confined space with no filtration other than the cyclonic collector---I was afraid the fine cement dust would blast through that and fill the neighbor's yard, but this absolutely has not been a problem thanks to this blade.Cuts are clean and as fast as wood.

excellent blade
I was using a freud fiber cement blade. The hitachi blade has a much smaller kerf much smoother cut leading to a much better looking job. And it was less money.

Fantastic blade
These Hitachi fiber cement blades are what you want for big siding jobs. The cut fast, clean, and accurately. They stay sharp through dozens of squares of boards. There is one to fit every saw you own... What more can you ask for? I can't even imagine trying to rip straight down a 12' board with the stupid fiber cement shears I was conned into buying, but this blade makes easy work of it on the table saw.

Hardy trim and Cemplank trim
It cuts like butter compared to the diamond ones from Home Depot and Lowes.I bought two, one for my trim saw one for my table saw. They still make dust and I air out out the motors at the end of the day.So far I'm still on the same house (its a big one),still cuts good. I still use a shears on my siding and soffits (1/4-5/16th materials),to keep the dust down. I use it mainly for my batons and trims. I even use it on framing wood, straight cuts, in a pinch, as it is course. Great product.

worked as advertised
good quality blade… used to rip 5 pieces 4X8 hardie board…got to have this type of blade to work fast and efficiently…ordinary blade would blunt in no time and not have good cut edge…..delivery was great..would buy again if I have to…it was expensive though

Lived Up To My Expectation
I must say I was really impressed with the first cut. I was surprised how quite and smooth the cuts were and, as specified by the product description, produced little dust. I probably made a total of 60 cuts on my 10" sliding miter power saw. After about 40 cuts, the noise and dust increased somewhat and the cut lines were not as smooth as the first cut, however, I think this blade could handle another major project. I recommend this product. I would have rated this a 5-star but didn't because I think it's overpriced. I think it should be priced in the $40-$50 range.

Worked great. lasted whole house siding job.
Worked great in my10" miter saw. Not sure why fiber cement blades are more expensive when they have 1/8th the # of teeth.
