GREAT Cup o' Joe without the Snobbery
Upgraded our coffee to La Colombe a few months ago after battling heartburn and gut issues on another (on every corner) brand.Never bitter, rich, bold flavor - adding a splash of whole milk or cream takes the taste up a notch IMO.We buy pre-ground and use tap water (did I lose you all there? Sacrilege, I know!) but imagine how good it will be with your whole bean burr grinder and filtered glacier water poured over that slow drip (collecting dust in the cabinet above your microwave). --- oh, you're still here. See, I get it.We've got kids, busy schedules, draining corporate jobs, books to read, gardens to water, blah blah and I want to spend less time standing over coffee beans without sacrificing that fresh incredible flavor that once made me a coffee snob.Seriously - this is great quality for an even greater cost and you skip the snobbery and get back to enjoying your daily grind(ps if anyone is looking for burr grinders, aeropress, slow drips, etc ....hit me up on FB Marketplace 😉)

Much smoother than Starbucks Pike Place and not bitter
We have been trying various coffee brands because we find Starbucks too bitter. La Colombe is a significant improvement, much smoother but still tasty.

An unexpected pleasure
I tried this on a recommendation and have to admit that it’s the smoothest coffee I’ve ever brewed at home. Didn’t really expect enjoy it since I’ve drank a lot of coffee in my 65 years, but this was a very satisfying brew. I will be ordering more.

Disappointing Coffee Experience: Lacking Flavor and Freshness
I recently decided to give this coffee another shot, having purchased it before in whole bean form. However, my experience with the pre-ground version has left me thoroughly disappointed. It's disheartening to say that this particular batch lacks any semblance of flavor and freshness. The aroma that once greeted me when I brewed the whole beans is now conspicuously absent. Instead, there's a faint, almost stale scent that wafts from the grounds as they steep. The very essence that defines a good cup of coffee seems to have evaporated along with the grinding process.Upon taking the first sip, I couldn't help but notice the pronounced absence of the vibrant notes that characterized the whole bean version. It's as if the flavor profile has been muted, leaving only a vague suggestion of what this coffee could have been. The lack of depth and complexity in taste is evident, and the cup feels one-dimensional and uninspiring.Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of this experience is the lingering taste of age. The coffee seems to have lost its youthful vigor, and instead, I'm left with a shadow of what once might have been a rich and enjoyable brew. The old, tired taste that permeates each sip serves as a constant reminder of the potential that has gone unfulfilled. As a coffee enthusiast, I believe in giving products a fair chance. I had high hopes for this ground coffee, especially after my positive encounter with its whole bean counterpart. Unfortunately, this experience has taught me the value of retaining the integrity of the bean until the very last moment, preserving the nuances that make each cup a delight.

Strength
The coffee is defiantly not a true dark roast. You have to use a LOT of coffee grounds. Even still. The coffee tastes weak or watered down. So if you like your coffee to taste on the milder side without a smokey or burnt taste and devoid of any overtone, this is the coffee for you.

Good, but overpriced
Got the Bleu Dark Roast. Very good coffee, but overpriced. Other coffee, like Pete's, just as good for under $10 / 12 oz.
