Eeh. It’s cheaply made but it functions. For $10. Ok
Basically it’s shoe string. Don’t expect much if we are looking for a good quality ito wrap or sageo look elsewhere. It’s quite thin. I did the display not on the saya and as you can see in the photos it’s about half the thickness of a better quality cord. If you look at the knotting on the upper sword. You will see I had to add an extra fourth knot on the cord because it’s so thin it elongates a lot further than the thicker better quality cord. However, I Started with the same length of cord. But for $10. You get what you pay for it and it does tie and works and functions as it should.

Plenty of length!
In my opinion this looks and feels exactly like the sageo that came on my Musashi. I bought it to go on a replacement saya for a different katana (which hasn't arrived yet) but I did a test-tie on a bokken. It is very easy to work with and since it's 700 cm and a sageo only takes 220 cm - 250 cm, there's enough to do two if not three. The picture shows my first ever attempt to tie a Ronin Musubi, which seems to be the most commonly tied sageo on the market. I bought color number 18, which is a little darker in person that it appears in my photo. I would definitely buy this again if I need another one.

Used for tsukamaki wrap.
Pros: cost, shippingCons: stretches allot, begins to frazzle, when cut, seems to expand and unravel, making it difficult to push under tighter strands

Soft Silk
Very soft to the touch and exactly as described.

Like a Cheap Shoe String
Thin and cheap material. I bought this to change the sageo color on my musashi to white. This product is like a cheap shoe string in comparison to what came on the musashi. VERY disappointed.
