While this did apparently create water vapor the blue night light stopped working the first day and the automatic stop/start when out of water never really worked properly, meaning when refilled it didn't automatically reset and start blowing vapor -- you had to turn on/off/on/off/unplug and maybe it would reset -- or just wait and eventually it would. Really just not great -- have not seen one that is easy to clean and this is no exception. One would think technology has advanced far enough to turn water into water vapor reliably by now...not so with this device.

It started out great, but the more I used it, the noisier it got. Honestly, even on low, it's too noisy to leave on at night - it wakes me up in the middle of the night with weird high pitched whining sounds. I think it's the way the water moves through it. I sleep with an air purifier on usually, so I'm not a light sleeper - but this thing is just too loud. The tank is huge - probably could keep it running for about 24hours. I only need something 1/3 of the size since I only use it at night. There is a night light function that can be turned on/of, and then there is another light that can't be turned off - it's really bright at night, green when it's running, red when the tank is empty, but that seems redundant since you can see how much water is actually in the tank with a quick glance. I cover the extra light with a sticker on the outside, but you can still see it shine through the tank. Keep looking, there are better ones out there.

Would have given it four stars. The first time used it , it would cut off if I set the setting on high. Even after I would leave it on low for an hour. Was going to return it but since it was Saturday arrival decided to use it on low for the weekend. The next day after using it Saturday night the high started working. So of course I kept it. Called the company several times Perfect Aire, left messages and my phone number. They never returned call.

I ordered this because I wanted a humidifier with steam. This one is perfect and easy to use. My only suggestion is to keep it clean and to always use distilled water, if you don't you will get calcium build up on the heating element and will have to soak in vinegar and scrape off. This happened to me, so I am telling you "distilled water only". One fill up last about 9 hours. I put Peppermint oil in the little area for Vicks. My whole house smells good and the Peppermint oil helped so much with my cold and stuffy head. I shut my bedroom off from the rest of the house at night, that way I get the full effect. Great product for Winter and stuff heads and dry noses.

I bought this when it was only $18.99. It did the job if I let it run on low all day. The bright light on the knob that you CANNOT turn off lit the room up too much so I was unable to use it at night in my bedroom. I was going to buy another today because I accidentally dropped the plastic tank and it completely busted apart (so, as you can tell, it is not a sturdy product), but I can say it is definitely NOT worth $42.99 they are trying to charge today!! I find it outrageous that the seller is doubling the price for the same product they sold me roughly two months ago for half the price! I would only recommend this product at the price of less than $20.00.

I did a lot of research before deciding on this humidifier... wish I would've gone with my original choice. This is a great size and judging by the product info and reviews, thought this would be great for our small bedroom. Not the case, also just realized all reviews are from people who recieved this product for free for their review! ! We've used this every night for a week, on high, on low, trying different things, trouble shooting, cleaned it.. you name it, thinking it was user error.. still no improvement. Our room, skin, noses etc are still just as dry as before... not even a slight improvement over a week. My nose cracks and I get nose bleeds, it's hard to breath with such dry air in our room and this humidifier does nothing! Bummed I spent money on this and likely can't return.Also, the light is SUPER bright when on and the mist, even on high, is very weak... the only plus is that it's really quiet BUT Id rather have a loud steam and working humidifier.

I have skin that gets dry in the winters due to lack of humidity, unlike summers where the humidity is awful, and this item is wonderful. It helps alleviate the winter itchiness.It's quiet only making noticeable noise most of the time. It gurgles a bit when it pulls water once or twice an hour depending on the settings but its quieter than an office water cooler.

LIGHT A LITTLE TOO BRIGHT, GOOD FOR A SMALL ROOM.
