A Place to Start
Simply put this is an excellent book. I bought this for starting my journey on overcoming my social anxiety that I've battled with the past 12 years. I knew I had to get help after a panic attack left me out of a good job opportunity and I figured that if this didnt help me I would only be out 3 bucks and hour of my time. I am so glad I gave this a shot. The book is full of great advice from a once suffering recluse and is written in clear and kind english. Yes some of the advice is common sense but I feel most of it will be new to you and the stuff that is common sense I find is reassuring to know that you are on the right track. As with any book ( and is mention through out this one), this is not going to change your life with out a lot of effort put it. This book is but a humble companion to guide you along your journey and push you in the right direction. I believe this book along with a good amount of courage and motivation will help change my life. I am 3 days into implementing this guide and feel more confident already. I will post and update when I have gone through and completed all the tasks and challenges. I truly recommend this book.

Good Book
This book provides good techniques to help you over come stress. It goes into the root of what causes stress and gives you insight on how to relieve stress and overcome your shyness. The best thing is that the book takes you step by step. It introduces techniques in a way that is easy to understand and to follow through with. By taking it step by step and following the intstructions in this book, in time you will notice your shyness fading and yourself becoming less shy. I know the techniques work because when I was younger I was extremely shy. I had to learn how to get over my shyness if I was going to do anything meaningful in life other than stand in the background or sit in the spectators seat as life passed by. I learned over time that life was more meaningful and exciting once I got over my stress and shyness. Today it would take a lot to stress me out and though I have some shyness, it doesn't effect me at all. So I know the value of this book. If you want a much more meaningful and positive life, I suggest you get this book and follow the steps.

Doesn't say anything new about overcoming anxiety of social phobia, but it's presented in a great and charming way, which really speaks of the author's passion for her works.

Good Points, Good Explanation From One Who Overcame!
The author used to suffer from social anxiety and shyness, but eventually overcame this problem when he understood just a handful of fundamental principles and started living based upon those principles. He then explains these point very clearly to his readers.This point can be explained this way: there is a very large mansion. Suddenly all the lights turn off and all the electrical gadgets also stop working. The ignorant person can now go from gadget to gadget and try to coax it to turn off. Much effort, but no result. But he who knows can go straight to the fuse, and fix it and everything will be alright.The solution to many psychological problems is similar. He who knows can fix the problem easily. Here is an author who knows what he suffered from and how he was able to solve it. This is exactly what he has explained in this book. I as a counselor found the book to be very good and would be recommending it to my clients who come for counseling.As a trained and experienced senior counselor, I very strongly recommend this book!

Do not buy this book. Seriously.
The book is very short and easy to read, but gives no solid information on social anxiety and shyness, and provides no good solutions to the problem.At the beginning of the book, the author speaks about emotion in a remarkably shallow manner, and somehow manages to relate human emotions to quantum physics. But as he says, he does not want to bore us with the details. Thanks, Beau.The rest of the book contains empty advice and cliche slogans for how to improve your life. He basically tells the reader to feel your body, think positively, go out and talk to strangers.Poorly written book by someone who does not know what he's talking about.

Read this book and start to live the life you deserve!
I have never considered myself to be particularly socially anxious or shy but when I happened across this book I was interested to read that some of my actions were those of someone who is not quite comfortable in social situations. The solutions that the author gives to these issues are well explained and encouraging and I will be practicing them as I go about my daily life. This book is not just another compilation of ideas and remedies thrown together and published, it is written straight from the heart by someone who has first-hand experience of the debilitating conditions he describes and the gentle but effective steps he has taken to combat them and begin to enjoy his life.

Real life strategies to combat shyness!
I am not a shy person generally but I do live with a shy introvert and can be situationally shy myself. Right away this book addresses feelings and energy inside of you, then moves to external strategies. This isn't about faking or pretending to not be shy but really working with your self to accept and move past it. I found some really helpful info and it was easy to read.

Could Be a Life Changer
I think that if you have problems with social anxiety and shyness then this book could be a life changer. It looks at what the problem is, how to come to terms with it, and how to deal with it. For those who are interested you can also get some useful audio material for free. I found this to be an interesting book that deals with a difficult situation in an actionable way. I recommend this book.

Great book
This book is an excellent guide to help people with their Social Anxiety and Shyness. There were some excellent strategies that I haven’t found in other books that I already tried and have found to be very helpful. The book is very well written and flows very nicely.

Everything you need to overcome social anxiety!
The best book I have read on this topic. It has tips and methods which can be done in our daily life. Nothing far fetched at all. Full of useful info in a way we can relate too. Worth a buy!
