I chose this unit because it is a Cisco supported model, but there is a slight issue with these modems which you should be aware of the used with a Cisco router. Also ote that the unit takes a Mini-SIM, not the Micro-SIM stated in the instruction book, also don't mix up the Micro SD card slot with the SIM slot! That's really easy to do! Anyway all SIM cards will fit, just punch out the Mini-SIM holder, not the tiny Micro-SIM holder from your SIM card carrier. If you're buying it for a laptop or another purpose you won't have this issue, but if you're buying for Cisco then read on. Cisco only support a finite number of product ID's and Huawei ship these units with various ID's. There is no real way of telling which version you will get, but there are two things to bear in mind: 1. I found that despite my unit having a non-Cisco supported ID it works perfectly, only that the RSSI, IMEI etc are not reported to the router, so this limits the remote manageability. 2. The unit can be software upgraded to support Cisco, and that's why I say this Marketplace Seller (Livewire Telecom) is an excellent place to do business. Although my case is not quite closed yet, a new firmware version is on its way to me, and I have full confidence in the seller - the support has been excellent, right back to a direct line with Huawei and that's why I'm so pleased with the purchase and the experience.
