Summer Waves 16' x 42" Quick Set Pool

Luckily I read the reviews before this arrived. I was nervous because there weren't many pools out there during the heat wave that I could afford with all the price-gouging. This looked like a good one, so I took a chance.I noticed the bad reviews here are mostly saying that the walls wouldn't hold the water. This is gravity working, my friends. ANY incline and that water will try with all it's might to go downhill.So I went out and build a hexagon frame to level up as a base. My yard did not look that bad!! But once we got the frame level, I realized just how unlevel it really was. It took at least 30 wheelbarrows full of dirt from my garden to fill the frame up. But it was so worth it! The pool filled up perfectly. It is solid and made of a thick material. I'm not worried about it holding up at all. A cat jumped up on it at some point and put four little punctures in the top ring. When I noticed, there was hardly any air pressure in it at all, but the pool was still up and ok. Got the paw print patched and everything is all good again. Definitely recommend!

The pool was purchased in April. I live in the PNW and our summers do not start until end of June/beginning of July. Last year, I waited until right before summer and found everyone was sold out. This year I was thinking ahead of time. I ordered and finally less than 3 weeks ago I finally was able to put it up. Once full, I noticed that it was a wonky shape. That night 6000 gallons and f well water (that took almost a week to fill in two hour increments at a time) dumped out in my front yard. I thought… maybe there was a slight incline? I paid someone to level a spot in the back. The crew worked for hours assuring every spot was level. I moved the pool, filled it once again in 2 hour increments from the well… and can we guess what happened?!? Yes. It went to a wonky shape and at 12pm my backyard was flooded with another 6000 gallons of water. Officially over it, I took pictures and called the manufacturer directly. I knew I was out of the ridiculous 30 day return policy from the seller. Plus, it was a manufacture issue with the pool itself. They looked at the pictures and said “yep that’s defective all right” but sorry… this is not one of our “approved” sellers on Amazon. I contacted the seller to get the warranty information. After several messages, they refused saying that was their “private” information. So here I am, a single mom… who bought a pool instead of taking a vacation, without an actual working pool and now I have one incredibly sad 10 year old. I can’t afford to just buy a new one. Plus, I’ll have to pay even more to take it to the dump. And no one will take responsibility and help. So disappointed.

I have had this type of pool since my girls were little, 20 yrs ago. I have never had a problem with them. Folks who assume that you can just throw it up anywhere and not prepare the area are definitely going to be disappointed. You have to get the area level and I always put sand down and a tarp and have never had an issue. Yes they will lean a little over time with small kids but anyone who expects them to stay perfect will be disappointed. I have bought many over the years and now I get them for my grandson who grows like a weed and I have the most uneven yard in town but I manage to get it within an inch and have no problem. I don’t leave it out all year either. If you paid over $300 or $400 you definitely got ripped off and that is unfortunate but just keep shopping and put in a little work they are a great pool for the money.

I purchased this pool during the pandemic because my old pool had a rip on the bottom when I took it out of storage, I patched the hole on my old pool and surprisingly it held up perfectly so this pool when it arrived went into my shed to be stored until my other pool was no longer usable. Well the patched hole held up perfectly on my old pool however the inflatable ring was leaking air and had to be filled daily so finally this year I decided to get the new pool out of storage, it was simple to assemble however I didn't read the description throughly when I purchased it, this pool did not come with a cover or a ground cover, luckily I still had mine from the previous pool. I wasn't overly impressed when I opened the box with the parts, the plastic cover for the intake was completely broken and therefore useless, fortunately my cover from my other pool fit otherwise I wouldn't be able to connect or disconnect the pump without having a flash flood. The pool itself is pretty well made ,no leaks so far, and the ground must be fairly level, mine is off by an inch and it's still pretty solid I've never had an issue. I would recommend this pool but it's best to get one that has everything that you need.

The pool busted 3 weeks after we got it it was setup properly and we put sand around the outside to help support the walls. It busted and when we tried to contact the seller cause it was within the 30 days they didn’t respond till after the 30 days. First they said that we improperly set it up. I told them I had pictures that it was properly set up. Then they said well we can’t help cause it’s not within the 30 days. I said it was in the 30 days we contacted you within the 30 days and you wouldn’t answer till after the 30 days. They said it’s in the policy that no refunds or exchange after the first 30 days. Spent all that time and money just to set it up properly. I would not buy this even with the good reviewers that say if you set it up properly it will last. You have a 50/50 chance it will not.
