Purchased this to replace an older hitch, good quality heavy duty should last for many years. Easy to set up on my RV and truck. Would recommend.

took about 1/2an hour to set up as this was not my first time but all in all a great product for the price. Have bought curt products before and have always been satisfied.

This arrived several days late due to winter storms across the country. However, the box looked as if it was the cause of a major pile-up. The bottom of the box toward the end was heavily taped. I noticed quite a few areas of chipped or flaked paint on various pieces, though I only found a few small flakes inside the box. The spring bars had some significant scrapes and gouges in the paint, more than I would expect to find from rough handling. The chains were pre-installed on the spring bars, though that is a step listed in the instructions so either they were done before packing or a previous buyer put it together then returned it; they are supposed to have nylock nuts, but these appear to be normal nuts. It's not a huge deal to me, but when I order something that claims to be new, it should look like it. I wouldn't care if it were used and in good shape, but the price should reflect that. One thing I find misleading in the instructions is how to remove the spring bars from the head. It says to gently pull out on the retaining pin to drop them out... I don't know who they have testing these things, but I had to use a screwdriver to pry the pin out enough to drop the bars, so I don't think I'd use the word gently; carefully is probably a better word. Installation wasn't too bad and I haven't tried towing yet. I'll update the review after I have towed, but I don't expect any problems.

Set up, easy. Ease of use, same. Stabile control? Not bad at all. I went through the mountains with this attached to my old camper with very little difficulty in steering control. A piece of advice, invest in a set of larger impact 1/2" Drive sockets, wrenches, and rachet. It will make set up much faster. Tear down after the trip was a breeze. Even though I could not for the life of me get it back in its box like it was shipped. Oh well. I recommend this product to others with smaller campers that are prone to being top heavy. Worked well for me.

I would have given this 5 stars except the package was damaged beyond belief! I was fortunate enough to look through everything and all the parts where there. I didn't really see any damage but then again, this item is heavy and all steel! Curt has always made some of the best towing equipment and I will continue to buy Curt products moving forward. I bought this to tow my Coleman Lantern 17B camper with my Nissan Frontier.

Quick deliver. Hitch is easy to setup. Instructions are clear. Only complaint is you have to install the hitch ball and I needed 2 5/16 inch. The recommended torque for that is like 450ft lbs. Who has a torque wrench around that can do that. Wish it came factory installed then I would give this product 5 stars.

A noticeable weight was eased off the hitch from my travel trailer!
