This is MUCH HARDER than the 20g silver plated version! The other 20g Artistic Wire I've used is dead soft, but this is definitely half hard or more. It's a LOT harder to twist being stiffer with more resistance. I was looking for a hypoallergenic wire that was sturdy enough to make inexpensive rings out of and thought the stainless would be the perfect solution. But it's HARD to work with. It also has a less "silver" look to it vs the silver plated. It has a darker color and the finished result isn't as visually appealing. So. It's inexpensive, a good choice for hard wear items, BUT it's harder to work with and doesn't look as bright or silver. Fair warning.

This wire is definitely heavy duty and what I was looking for. Maybe just a little too heavy duty for some uses but first and for most I wanted strong wire. Not great for wrapping as it is quite stiff but it's stainless steel so that's a given. It was hard to decide the right wire as so many product descriptions don't give enough details about strength and some even leave out the gauge. This was the first time I purchased wire, although I was already familiar with gauge thickness and assumed gauge doesn't always tell you how strong it will be. It's all about the kind of material it's made from. Would be nice if descriptions came with a weight the wire will stand up to in general. That would be ideal. Luckily reviews gave some examples which helped with my decision. This was 20 gauge so if you are intending to use it for wrapping I would definitely go for a smaller (larger number) gauge. Most beads slide just fine in this size wire but there are some exceptions. All in all, if you're looking for a small wire that has a lot of strength, this is perfect. One more thing, you'll need a good pair of wire cutters. I have a hard time cutting this with my small cutters and I consider myself to be somewhat strong. Just an FYI.

Don't be fooled about the 22 gauge, 'cuz this stainless steel craft wire isn't flimsy. I haven't used a lot of it so I don't know if it will tarnish yet. The price was good for the length of wire I received.

The 32 gauge wire is very thin but very strong. I tried twisting it to break it the way you do with thin copper wire but had to cut it. I would think this wire would be good for stringing beads except that there isn't enough bulk to it to fill up the hole in the bead and they might sit funny on it. I got it to hold air plants in place.

This item is worth buying. Shiny...durable...and for multiple uses. I use it for jewelry wirework...and it does not disappoint.

Perfect for crafting. Wire wrapping crystals. Was more than I expected.

Good quality wires. Have used it in multiple craft projects and no complaints so far!
