Highly Recommended!
This is an amazing controller. It feels and performs just like the original SNES controller. I'm using it with my Mac (OS X 10.11), iPad/iPhone (Retroarch on iOS 9.2), and with my Raspberry Pi 2B. You need to power it up in different modes to work with each one, but once you know that, it works flawlessly. Hold B+Start for Mac, A+Start for iOS (iCade mode), and R+Start (not in the manual) for the Rasberry Pi. There's a great video on youtube by Floob on setting this up with the Raspberry Pi.After the initial setup, I haven't had any issues whatsoever pairing and using the controller. It turns on and connects right away, and I don't notice any lag with it (I play a lot of old fighting games). It powers down automatically if you don't use it for a few minutes, which is great.By the way, the weird item that you get in the package--the ring thingy with an adhesive plate--is a phone stand. Stick it on the back of your phone, and use the ring to prop it up. Just thought I'd mention that since a few of the online review I read had no idea what it was.One more thing to note... there is another listing on Amazon for this same controller. I purchased this one because it is exactly the same, but this is sold by Amazon.com, not a third party seller. For items that I think I may need to return, I try to buy from Amazon rather than a third-party seller. You can still return items to third-party sellers, but I've had less hassles and quicker refunds when returning items sold by Amazon. YMMV. However, I do try to support small businesses by buying from third-party sellers when I don't anticipate needing to return the item. I can now attest that this item works great for the uses I listed above, so if you're in the same boat, I wouldn't have any hesitations to buy from a third-party seller if you prefer.

Light weight makes this controller comfortable for all old games
The SNES controller is a classic, but in this age of dual analog sticks, it's easy to forget just how great of a controller it is. It's basically a modern Xbox/Playstation controller minus the analog sticks and triggers. The time-tested layout is ideal for gaming because you can easily press two face buttons and both shoulder buttons while still having full control over the D-pad. You can even use it for PS1 games as long as they don't require analog sticks or more than 2 shoulder buttons.I was afraid that the lack of grips would make it less comfortable for longer gaming sessions, but I was surprised to realize that the opposite is true. Because it's so light, you can hold it with a very gentle grip and your palms won't get sweaty like they do for the beefier controllers.I use mine both with an Android phone and with a Raspberry Pi hooked up to my TV. Perfect for older games, and I would recommend it even outside of the nostalgia factor.

Works perfectly with Rpi 3 / bluetooth
I updated the firmware out of the box as recommended in Retropie's help files.Using Raspberry pi 3 - paired perfectly via bluetooth - no noticeable lag for me. Stays paired when I reboot or shut down the machine then turn it back on, not requiring me to repair the device. Feels great - buttons are all properly mashable and the controller build quality is great. Packaging was great too.I waffled a bit when deciding on a game controller for my Pi. Since I'm playing mainly NES and SNES games, I decided against an xbox controller, etc. I was worried about build quality and latency with the SNES30 after reading a bit, but these issues seem to be with older Retropie installations, older Raspberry Pi hardware, etc.Very satisfied, may order another. Exactly what I expected.

Loaded up Link to the Past on an emulator and I feel like I'm 10 again
Just arrived, paired with my Amazon Fire TV without issue (much easier than my SteeleSeries Stratus XL did and way easier than my SteeleSeries FREE did)The look and the feel is spot on. Loaded up Link to the Past on an emulator and I feel like I'm 10 again. The box is amazing as well, its very clean and feels good to hold it. Its on par with the kind of packaging you get with a $700 phone. And I got an 8Bitdo key ring as well that has a really nice plaque on it saying FC30 For the Happy Memory of Old Days on the front and In Memory of FC since July 15, 1983 on the back. (FC is Famicom, the japanese name of the Nintendo, which was released in Japan on July 15, 1983)What I got blew me away with how clean and professional the whole package was, with swag to boot. I can't recommend this controller (and by extension this company) enough.

I'm glad to report that both controllers have been nothing but ...
I ordered two controllers specifically from Amazon.com just incase they were defect.I'm glad to report that both controllers have been nothing but a pleasant experience while playing old school games. The d-pad and buttons feel perfect in-hand and this product really sets itself apart from the cheap imitations. I could not be happier with playing NES, SNES, and GBC games with something that feels authentic and is wireless. However, the software will take some research depending on your set-up. I personally had to solve two issues that were not included in the manual. Despite that, I think this product still deserves five stars. Be aware if you aren't computer savvy though, because you might run into issues that you'll have to troubleshoot on your own.

Absolutely love the feel of this controller
Absolutely love the feel of this controller. I can't tell the difference between this and an original SNES controller - button feel is spot on and even the type of plastic feels exactly the same. Works great with a Windows PC, a Raspberry Pi, and a Nintendo Switch. Battery life is great too and gives you enough of a warning before it runs out.The only downside I've run into is the complexity of it - you're likely going to need to read the instructions online before figuring out how to get it to work with something like a Nintendo Switch or a Raspberry Pi.

snes controller... the way it should feel
I've had a few third-party Snes controllers over the years, and always find myself comparing them with my original one from back in the day. This does not disappoint in the slightest. It's slightly weightier, obviously due to having to cram bluetooth and power into it, but actually makes it a better experience. Button presses are spot on and gameplay is as what you would expect. Battery life is awesome and the controller can be picked up days/weeks later and just game away.

Superb,
Using this with a raspberry pi (zero w) retro games build based on RecalBox.Works superb!START+R to select mode on first start before binding with bluetooth reciever (hold select for a few sec until it flashes fast)then just START to power on (3s) each time (hold for 8s to force power off, it will also auto power off and sleep ect after inactivity).Map the select button to both SELECT and HOTKEY in the controller setup within recalbox and it will work fine as intended.recommended, especially for older retro build with mainly 8bit games

Sad that such a great controller is ruined by a lacklustre and inaccurate d-pad
The feel of the buttons and overall shape and heft of the controller is lovely but the d-pad is woefully inaccurate, I kind of wish I had returned it but that ship has sailed. Caveat Emptor, if you're going to be using this for precision platforming like Super Mario romhacks then I wouldn't buy this.

Great
Good quality great for snes emulators on android. Firmware may need updated if your experiencing a delay when using, its easy to do but requires a pc.

Short Lifespan
Controller purchased at the start of this year, and worked great when first bought (using cable direct, and using Bluetooth with RetroPie). Unfortunately now am unable to charge via USB. When plugged into the Macbook it's recognised very intermittently. As of this morning, the battery appears to be completely dead and the controller is not responding to any button press, regardless of whether plugged in or not. Suspect a dodgy micro-USB port. Refund window passed at the start of Feb.
