I purchased parts and blue bowel only
i have a miller table and sluice. I wanted to play with this and modify it by getting the dream mat. I attached it to a 1-inch hose system for greater control - I also got the 1100 bilge pump for greater power. I attached a dial-in power regulator for more control and water volume control. this is the part I bought from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7M8313T?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. It works great I have total control of how fast the water goes- (still learning) . I alsopurchased the legs. It still was less cost than the 150 kit.

Pretty cool bowl
Needs better instructions. I use pay dirt through mine. The bowl some times vibrates off the bucket if left on and if water isn't on high enough it stalls out and will spin the dirt for hours not separating anything. Having a pre tuned valve would make it more Beginner friendly. Having clamps on the bottom to fightly secure the bowl to the bucket(self leveling?) would be a great fix along with a water line to keep the water at the perfect level. I would also come down on your price it's a plastic bowl price it accordingly.

It's a time burner
About two weeks of trial and error, different pumps, speed adjusters, etc. I can say that at least for the type of material I am dealing with it is not clearly profitable. I can't get it to separate black sand from fine gold, which is why I bought it. It is theoretically possible to do so, because they are different densities. Unfortunately the water flow is just as likely to push a flat heavy piece of gold (common here) than a rounder grain of black. So I think the time I spent would have been better invested building a shaker or miller table. Shaker seems the way for me if gold stays high, will see how my time works out- vibration appears to be a more consistent separator than water flow. The only consistent success I have found with the Blue Bowl is to use 30 mesh classified cons and accurately adjust the speed so that it just barely allows some to escape through the center, add a protien-powder-scoop at a time, wait until almost all blondes are out, then turn the pump off and manually spread what is left and use a snuffer bottle to pick out heavy pieces/specs of gold. For the price, not a bad tool to have but best to keep around when you are stuck at home during bad weather or something.

Works well
It takes some work to set up but does a good job if you take time to level it. Water circulating valve hard to adjust, a gate valve to replace the ball valve would be helpful in regulating the flow.

Catches the fines.
Well built. Gotta say was surprised by the weight of it. Does the job only down side is not a fan of the cheap plastic valve.
