Beautiful Birds Coloring Book (Sirius Classic Nature Coloring)

So pretty I'm afraid to color in it for fear of messing it up. Has a full color picture next to coloring sheet

Hope this helps others thinking about purchasing this coloring book. The best part of this book is the color pictures of the birds. This alone is worth the price of the book. The illustrations to color are nicely drawn but not that detailed. In addition, even though this is medium weight paper, the color picture slightly shadows through the coloring page. Now I would purchase this again but I wouldn’t use paint or markers because it might bleed through the beautiful photograph. Again the color plates are fabulous and encourage the layering of color. My plan is to draw the diagrams on quality paper, then utilize the beautiful illustrations for the layering of color. Hope this was helpful.

Love this book. The color sample pages beside the coloring pages are so helpful. All in all, it is one of the best coloring books I have had.

Really surprised by the quality of this book. I love how it not only includes color plates from Audubon's 'Birds of America,' but also includes color plates from 'A History of the Birds of Europe' by HE Dresser. The blank pages for you to color have some size and detail differences compared to the plates they are copied from but they are really lovely nonetheless. I would say the only criticism I do have is that the lines could be a little sharper, but overall doesn't detract from the ease of coloring.

The color book has some good features and some not so good features. The negatives ones that bother me most is the inaccuracy of the page to be colored with the colored picture that are there to guide the person coloring. Areas are either missing or out of place, very frustrating and inexcusable.

Nice quality paper, beautiful natural full color pictures of many different birds that can be used as a coloring guide. I love birds and plants, so this is my kind of book. There is a series of these for Butterflys and Nature also, good addition to your coloring library.

This is one of the most beautiful adult coloring books I have purchased. The pictures are realistically accurate and there are examples for completing the birds . The book came in a timely manner and was just as described and shown online.I am very pleased with this purchase.

I gave this bird coloring book to my good friend who has Alzheimer’s. She is able to see the bird on one side and color it on the other page. It is therapy for her.

5 stars for the images, 1 star for the paper. That justifies my 3 star review.I'm so disappointed in this product.The plates are beautiful and the illustrations to colour are just aching to be used. The problem is that I highly doubt that this colouring book is suitable for anything other than pencil crayons!In my image you can clearly see the plate on the next page showing through the colouring page. You cannot paint or use any markers on one without destroying the other. Such a pity, because the colour plates encourage you to want to explore with as much colour and layering as possible.You have 3 options:1. Start from the last image and make your way to the front of the book (and lose the colour plates completely along the way).2. Use the images and make a tracing onto quality paper.3. Request a refund.I'll be keeping the book and tracing the images onto quality paper for my own work. A bit of hassle, but at least I can make the most of these beautiful illustrations (which are worth it).

This would be an outstanding colouring book for those who wanted to learn to colour birds professionally. A full colour photogenic picture of the bird lies opposite the drawing so the student can copy the colours. However, the paper is thick & heavy. Only useful with water colour (with brushes) or ink. Colour pencils or water colour pencils will not adhere to this weight/gloss of paper.

Pictures very detailed, that requires multi layered colour pencil work, but stock (to thin) and sadly lacks sufficient tooth to achieve overall effect for multi layered work. A.D.
