OXO Good Grips Silicone Slotted Spoon - Peppercorn

I had one and lost it in my move so got another one as love for peas the holes that do not let them escape. Easy to hold and use. I have another one that lets peas escape in bunches as the holes are too big and quality is great in this reorder as old one I had. I got that one at another store yet love how it performs in straining. It has a great feeling with it not feeling heavy yet it is not looking cheaply made either. I think that it has a great serving capacity in how much it holds. Very happy with this product so got it again.

Bought these spoons (plain and slotted) to replace old black plastic ones. Can't find these particular spoons at Target or Walmart so purchased from Amazon. Always love Oxo products. The spoons could be larger but I've noticed that the other brands at the store seem to be a smaller size spoon also. Guess that's the new trend.

I use this slotted spoon all the time to make poached eggs in a mug. Works like a charm. That was the exact reason I ordered it and I couldn’t be happier.

If you are cooking for a family of forty or planning to row across the Atlantic in a giant stockpot, this is the spoon for you. If you just want to eat some cereal, stay away—unless you want to feel like a hamster trying to eat off a shovel.

This spoon was a major disappointment. I bought it because it is OXO. I have many OXO products and this is the first that completely misses the mark. The 'bowl' is very small, relative to other slotted kitchen spoons I have had. This may be a limitation imposed by silicone construction. It has half the capacity of the old nylon tool I bought this to replace. It is very irritating - like using a baby spoon to eat an adult bowl of soup. The biggest flaw is that the holes in the 'bowl' are too small to give the spoon adequate functionality. They trap seeds, bits of ground meat, spices, bits of skin, stems of cilantro, chopped garlic bits, etc. Seeds, especially, clog the spoon while using it. The dishwasher does not clear them out. I have to whack the spoon against the side of the sink between dips to dislodge the stuff that clogs the teeny holes and give it a final whack before I load it into the dishwasher. I am giving this to the Salvation Army store since there may be users who will tolerate the considerable limitations of this tool

This thing holds up well. I find myself fighting the others in the house using this. It does great in the dishwasher. Against men cooking. No offense intended. My favorite is to use it while cooking pasta.

Exactly what I needed. Substantially higher spec than cheaper slotted spoons. Feels very high quality with a nice grip. I haven’t tested the non stick explicitly but it always comes good in the dishwasher. Looks the part and easy to use
