Or are they hollow with flocked surface?** A: The horses are a bit strange with the cover over the plastic and the hair/mane!!! They seem to be solid and the legs are stronger that the regular plastic horses made in China! This is very cute and she loves to play with it!!! **Q: Are the horses made of plastic?** A: The outside of he horses are velvety, to mimick a horse feel! Very cute! Until I dismantle them, since I did not manufacturer them, other than this I cannot tell you! Blessings! **Q: how big are the two fllocked horses on the melissa and doug toy?** A: Not very large; they fit perfectly in the trailer... maybe 3"x4"? They are cute and have gotten a lot of use in our house! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very durable and fun toy *by on Reviewed in the United States March 16, 2026* This is such a cute horse carrier! Definitely recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality and adorable! *by on Reviewed in the United States January 4, 2026* Cute! Good quality, great price and my horse loving son’s favorite Christmas gift! It’s hard to find quality horse toys for a boy at all, let alone a good price and won’t break as soon as it’s out of the box. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Horse-loving toddler loves it! *by on Reviewed in the United States February 13, 2026* My daughter loves horses so much and she was so excited to see this trailer and horsies Christmas morning. It's now mid-February and she still plays with this daily. It's definitely one of the first toys she reaches for. The quality is great - especially for the price and I love that she gets to use her imagination in lots of different ways with it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Melissa & Doug Horse Carrier Wooden Vehicle Play Set With 2 Flocked Horses and Pull-Down Ramp Horse Figures, Wooden Trailer Toy For Kids Ages 3+ - Melissa & Doug Take-Along Show-Horse Stable Play Set With Wooden Stable Box and 8 Toy Horses - Melissa & Doug Fold and Go Wooden Horse Stable Dollhouse With Handle and Toy Horses (11 pcs) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/2023276-melissa-and-doug-horse-carrier-wooden-vehicle-play-set-2](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/2023276-melissa-and-doug-horse-carrier-wooden-vehicle-play-set-2) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
