Not new. The rods that go through the weights had rust and a grey soot-like substance (guessing its from another set of weights) on them. The rods from my clock's old weights still looked good after 40+ years so I just unscrewed the hooks and bottom knobs from the "new" rods and put them on my old rods. You can't see the rods so the weights look good. Just irritated that I thought I was buying an unused product.
