Frisco Craft Stencil Vinyl Masking Film - Blue Removable Sheet 12” x 30ft

I needed a vinyl that was not super sticky so that I could lay it down over a fresh paint once it dried and not have it pull paint off with it when I removed it afterwards. This stuff does a great job filling the need I had. The vinyl still adheres well to the stuff I am painting, but it removes much easier and without destroying the painted surface I laid it over. There is still the occasional mishap when it tries to remove paint with it, but is way easier to stop from doing damage than normal adhesive backed vinyls I have used. I use it for adding stenciled patterns on car and motorcycle paint jobs and so far I am very happy I found it when I did.

I use vinyl mostly for stencils. I got frustrated with Oracal. It would bubble up even when unrolling it which just made life frustrating. Ordered this and used it on a large sign and I think I’ve found my solution! It doesn’t bubble up, sticks well when you want it to, allows for repositioning if you need, and cut well. I had to tell everyone about my experience because it made the cleanest sign I think I’ve ever gotten using this as a stencil. Will DEFINITELY be purchasing again!!!!!

Love this product! Easy to weed. I used for screen printing on T-shirts, even though it says only for hard surfaces. Add a fine mist of basting adhesive, temporary hold, just before you lay it down. Use a roller to prevent bleeding on fabric. I am very pleased with this product. I will definitely use again. Cricket stencil paper is much thinner, and prior to my finding this paper I used everyday vinyl - removable for stencils. Cricket stencil material is even more thin than their removable vinyl. This product however, is thicker without presenting a problem with your cutter. No special settings needed just removable vinyl setting. I did find that I could not use some generic cutting blades. I spent the money for good quality, cricket blades. No problems! You'll be glad you used this product if you need to make stencils. Good adhesive. Just needs a little TLC to work on fabric, but it will work well!!

I was very surprised with this vinyl! I wasn’t sure it was going to work, but I was pleasantly surprised! This is thinner than regular vinyl, but it’s easy to work with. I like that it shows the bubbles underneath, because you can see how well it is adhering. It has great stickiness-not too much, not too little. It peels up very well after I’ve stenciled, and doesn’t rip into a million different pieces when I’m removing it. There are only 2 cons about this. 1. You have to be careful when scraping it around the letters. If you scrape too hard, it actually catches on the letters and pulls the vinyl. 2. It is VERY difficult to see when it’s on dark wood. It was a little difficult lining it up to the edge of the black wood, but nothing too serious. Overall, I would purchase it again to use in my lighter colored wood. It performs very well all the way around!

Good vinyl masking tape. I have used it on several projects. Doesn’t like to bend around small corners very much, unless it has plenty to grab onto.

This is the 3rd time I’ve purchased this stencil vinyl! I make signs and I couldn’t make them without it, I wish it stuck to wood a little better but it’s still a great product. The amounts for the price is great along with the quality, it’s very easy to weed once you cut it out.

I honestly did not expect a vinyl stencil to change my workflow this much—but here we are. Since buying this stencil vinyl, I’ve almost completely stopped using regular vinyl for my projects. That’s how good it is. The quality is top-tier. It cuts beautifully, weeds so easily, and lays down smoothly without tearing or lifting. My stencils come out clean and nearly flawless every single time, even on more detailed designs. No frustration, no wasted material. I loved it so much that I came back to order more, and that alone says everything. If you do crafts, signs, or stencil work of any kind, this is one of those products that actually makes your projects better and easier. Highly recommend—this is now a permanent staple in my craft room.

For the most part, I like this film, and it works ok. I use it for stencils on an automotive paint application. It's reasonably priced but I do have an issue with it. The core that it is wound on is very small. Because of this, as you get into the last 10 or so feet of the film, it has a tight curve to it that is very difficult to get out. This causes a couple of issues. First, it tends to jam on the infeed. This is not just annoying, but it causes problems if you then don't leave a couple of inches in your cut file to act as a buffer so it doesn't catch as it's cutting. It also causes the film to pillow, which can create extra drag on the cutter or additional marks if you are using a pen. The additional drag also causes the film to get caught on any small cut areas and peel the film off. You can see this in the last 2 photos from a roll that still has about 5 feet left on it.

I tried this vinyl after using the Cricut brand for many years. It weeds easily, sticks really well and doesn't leave any residue behind. I used it as a stencil to paint on a stained wooden board and it came out perfect. No bleeding or lifting of the vinyl. For the price and quantity you receive it's a no brainer to purchase this over name brands. :)
