Pointells Extra-Large Digital Calendar Day Clock with Non-Abbreviated Day, Month & Date – Ideal Clock for the Elderly & Those Struggling with Memory Loss

The main purpose of me is to see the time, but to me the time display is not big enough. The word: day of the week like Thursday can be smaller. Also to change the calendar, one need the remote. What if the battery is dead, the remote is lost..? then you can not change the time. The price is too high.

TLDR: Went to bed on Wednesday, woke up on Monday.This review is for the 18.5" device.For me, the raison d'être for this product is to have the DAY of the week clearly visual. Many other products have the date, the time, the month or the year presented. But to be able to glance at this device to focus me on the day (as well as other features) is what I wanted. When I received it, I was impressed by the apparent quality of this device. It was simple to set the parameters wanted/needed for this device to perform as designed.Unfortunately after setting up the device and have it working as designed on Wednesday, I woke up the next morning and it was MONDAY! So, apparently the change over at midnight did not perform as designed.I did not test anything else for which the device is built. I have no interest in those matters (and it appears to be sold on the focus of the date and time and day). So, I cannot evaluate any other feature. The one thing that I did want was a fail. I just brought this unit to UPS to ship back. One star for the feature which I wanted which did not function properly. Two stars for the quality build and other features which, if they work, are presented. But, for me it is a one star product. For drowning man a 100' away, a 95' rope is totally useless.

Thus far, this product works very well. My Father-in-Law suffers from macular degeneration and this clocks enables him to see the time, date, and day very well. I am not sure why Pointells does not the various sizes of their electronic picture frames listed. That's right this item is an electronic picture frame that has all the inputs to play digital media and USB and HDMI inputs. It is very easy to set-up the time for this device. Included in this package is a remote control which allows you to control all functions of this item. When you turn the power off and turn the power back-on, the time and the date will return correctly; whereas, the month and date will need to be reset. When this device is powered back-on the date defaults to January 31th. So far, I am happy with this product and so is my Father-in-Law.

Delivered product is not as per the photo in the website.Attached is the photo of what I received as extra-large digital calendar/wall-clock.On the product there is no name of Pointells anywhere.It is actually a digital picture frame with black border and is not looking as nice as displayed in the website.I bought this because it looks nice but I realize the look is not same.However it functionally works great but I was not intending to buy a digital picture frame I wanted nice looking digital clock on a wall and the one in picture of website is nice looking.I like the product for it's functionality but I did not like the look of it on the wall.

I originally liked this product when purchased 4 mos. ago. Now is goes bonkers and does not keep the time or date correctly! I only use it for the time and date and I will set it correctly and within a few days it's off again. Wish I had never purchased this
